I'm self employed and pay for my own healthcare in which my monthly premiums have DOUBLED over the last 3 years! Soon, I'll have to find an alternative due to the monthly expense. By 2014 it will be worse. Obama's plan all along. Crush the private healthcare industry through the auspices of regulations and compliance then watch the premiums go through the roof. Within 5 years or so, most people will be begging the feds for help....here comes socialized medicine. The plan was there all along. I have one sincere hope which is that Obama goes on his safari and gets mauled to death by a lion then his shredded corpse gets urinated on by an elephant.
We don't want a martyr made out of him. It's far better that his corrupt administration is seen for what it really is and have its agenda exposed. After all Bill Clinton was beloved by many, yet his administration was composed of many of the same people Barry O's is and they have similar ideologies. The more scandals the better! We want everyone hating him by the end of his second term, otherwise we'll have more of the same on the next go around. This arrogant president, had his eyes set on a third term when he won his re election. He has an army of a 100 lawyers working on every possible angle to facilitate that, a scary proposition. You might not think it's possible, but he was possibly the only presidential candidate in history, that almost everyone refused to vet! I can only hope Hillary goes down in flames with him, after all Obama Care is just a warmed over version of what she tried to force on us in the early 90s. We are living in very scary times.

He'd only be a martyr to some. I myself, would find it somewhat comforting if he were to meet his end by the jaws and claws of such a beast. One who tries to destroy the natural order of things being destroyed by a product of nature is as pure as it gets. You're right about living in scary times. The time is fast approaching where the rule of law in and of itself will be gone. If they don't follow it, neither will we. Welcome to the dark ages in the 21st century. My faith in the federal government and in checks and balances is almost eroded beyond repair. That goes for millions of other Americans as well. I have met many a Tea Party member who wishes for the same things that I do, i.e limited government, fiscal responsibility, etc. Fact is, Washington D.C. has become a cesspool of evil which cannot be changed unless it is forced. Our founding fathers didn't take George III to court or try and work out some sort of peace plan with Britain because it was futile. It's a sad day when the Tories betray.

What exactly was toxic about it?

Unemployment was 5.4% compared to 7.6% today.
There were 2,010,000 more people working compared to today.
The participation rate was 66.1% compared to 63.4. At that rate we would have 6,128,000 more people working than we do today.

Yes, housing was going down thanks to the policies of the left, but the average price of a house in Michigan was $118,500 five years ago compared to $99,400 today. Under Bush the average price of a house in MI was $128,100. Under Obama it is $95,625. When Bush took office the average price was $112,700. When the D's took control of Congress it was $135,700. When Obama took office it was $103,700.

How long do you think it is going to take for the value of your house to return to the pre-D days?

Will you still be alive?

Five years ago, the only toxic thing was Barry O's campaign. I suspect you wouldn't have known any better at that time, being a freshman in college and never had been in the working world and all. <-o

Obama is for larger government and a police state. Look at what's happening under his administration with PRISM, watergate is NOTHING compared to the the clandestine spying on Americans that the NSA is doing right now, and making legal in "secret courts".
The Obama administration is taking a dump on the 4th amendment IN SECRET, in the name of national security. Where, outside of the tech community, is the outrage? Why are people not mad as hell about this? Is it that the average person doesn't understand the implications behind the Obama administration violating the constitution? Are people too busy watching American Idol to care? At least Rand Paul seems to want to do something about it.
hey blow hard with no facts the police state and nsa spying started under bush. you should be mad at both sides. but as usual the whiney children of gop are trying to blame others while they applaud the gop for violating the constitution. You're a sicko go seek some medical help.

What does your retarded comment have to do with the other comment. It was talking about another first for the dog eater. Nothing at all was said about Bush.
Another first is that this president is the first to make eating horse meat legal

Most of the white trash on here -- and they know who they are -- don't own a home (and will never own one), so why would they know or care.

You are correct. It's sad to see that a critique against our president is taken as an attack on an entire political party, rather than what it was. I'm not sure what makes these people so angry.

LOL Wrong on all counts. Maybe you ought to get your nose out of faux news and Hannity's a-hole for an hour and smell some fresh air. As for the NSA data collection effort, Congress voted for and approved extension of FISA which started under Bush. Every member has been briefed on what NSA is doing and why. You're a f'n moron. People like you ought to not have access to the internet.
