NRA chief: Obama 'bit off more than he could chew'

The head of the National Rifle Association mocked President Obama's Rose Garden "tantrum" after losing the gun control fight in the Senate, charging Thursday that Obama suffered the worst defeat of his presidency because "he bit off more than he could chew."
David Keene told Secrets that the president and his team misplayed their hand because they don't have a sense of the public's attitude toward gun control. "They just can't gauge the public reaction to what they do because they don't have any sense that the public has feelings different than they do," said Keene.
"He thought and his folks thought that Newtown changed everything. Newtown was a tragedy but that doesn't change people's basic values and feelings," added the NRA president. "What he learned is that he bit off a lot more than he can chew and that you can't just talk your way to a victory. You have to have something that makes some sense and he what he was proposing just didn't make much sense."

The loss devastated the president, who ranted about the NRA's power during his Rose Garden address after Wednesday's vote.

Keene, however, saw it differently. "It was the biggest legislative defeat he suffered but that does not justify the unseemly picture of a president of the United States throwing a public tantrum."

Really looking forward to the kick off, oh I heard it was delayed because no one can figure it out the game plan. Oh but its the law of the land and we must obey the law right? like good little sheep. The shepherd BHO and his watchdogs Kathleen and Eric and Janet and Joe will herd you all over the cliff, of course that was and is the intention... good luck I wont be participating in this mess...

Did anyone else notice that the fanatic that started this thread has a headline about Obamcare and a copy/paste rant on a completely different subject?

Posting so much NEWS must get confusing to the lowly educated!

Public tantrum? This NRA president acts like a child and is publicly disrespecting our president. He's a poor winner. It looks as though the NRA president is very unprofessional.

So lets get this straight: The NRA president wins a battle in our sacred system of writing laws by stuffing the pockets of elected officials to get the outcome they wanted just so they can sell more of their product? They bastardized our republic and manipulated the outcome of this vote out of greed? And then he mocks and laughs at the president and the 90% of the American public who is for background checks? Talking about biting off more than they can chew!!!

If our founding fathers were alive today they would explain to this pile of sht that this isn't the way they envisioned the process and that the power and money of the few shouldn't drown out the voice of the many, Congress isn't for sale and to never, ever purposely misconstrue thier intentions so they line up with his own. Then they would stand him up against a wall and shoot him in the head.

True that "Rob" is a fanatic, but more accurately I would describe him as just being a run-of-the mill low IQ dumb ass obnoxious window washer. For certain, calling "Rob" mixed up or confused would be a gross under-statement.
