Best time to call marvin is 35 mins after the hour no waiting no volume call bs. Most of the people call at the top of the hour and its hard to get thru then. and if you lose card you gotta replace it by calling chase bank. Now marvin going online thats a flat out joke I tried it and what a waste of time

I thought I had done everything correctly but was not getting benefits. There is no way to check the status of anything on line. Apparently I called MARVIN a week late and that pits me in the “do nothing until contacted “ bin. I couldn’t contact them because 1-866-500-0017 was full to the top of the queue (300 calls FYI) so I am told that no representatives are available and to call back – click. Thank you very much. Like others have said I am actually looking for work so I have better things to do like pack my belongings because of the looming foreclosure, thank you Michigan UIA. I finally get hold of them and I am “out of sync” with MARVIN. I have to wait two for the next available time to call Marvin which is a day less than two weeks away. I will own the first two weeks for not getting to the MWA on time and not calling MARVIN because I didn’t think the first appointment was so blasted serious & I just did not see it on the confirmation letter I fortunately printed after filing on line. I never got a single letter from the state until a week AFTER I was supposed to call MARVIN & that was my PIN which is for the internet and not for calling MARVIN. MARVIN’s phone PIN is one you choose and different.

Like I said, the first two weeks of benefits might be partially my fault but the last two were caused by not being able to get through to a person and nothing on line would tell me the status of my claim. I missed the cut off by one day because no human could talk to me and Labor day, of all days had the offices closed. That added two more weeks to my wait.

As for you unemployed people, maybe you would be employed if you were not so simple minded. You can't figure out anything no matter how simple they make it for you.
I have been working everyday of my life for seven years in retail. I went to school full time while working full time with a family. After school I got a new job and I got fired. Noe I'm trying to collect unemployment and I'm getting the run around. Leave it up to an idiot to come off judgmental and try to simplify a complex problem without offering any solution. Karma is a bitch.

IT TOOK US 8 weeks to get a first check.you have to go to Michigan works at least 2 days before ur first call.if u don't u won't get a check.if u did and u call Marvin and it doesn't tell you ur amount.you will still get paid but you have to keep calling.it takes longer to get ur money the first time you apply for unemployment..make sure u r sending in your job search also ..u WILL get paid...

07-20-13 was my first time certifying with marvin and it told me my check couldn't be issued at this time and didn't give me an dollar amount either. Could someone please explain what does that mean and what should I do about this situation?

How do I set up my PIN number? I am having trouble figuring out where to go or what number to call to set this up. Any help would be great.
