I'm a Viet Nam era veteran too. When I got out of the Army I got a job. It wasn't much but I kept plugging until I improved myself and have never taken unemployment or handouts.
I'm all for voluntarily helping the "least of these" as the Bible refers to them. I just have a problem with a dead ass subculture that would rather sit on their butts and whine about those who have it better than themselves.
I'll bet your a lyin' pos. Probably never served a day in the service. And you're sure doing your share of whining and complaining here. You must think you're an authority or something?

I see men and women everyday who have served our country and are left to wander the streets. I believe people like you call them takers. You obviously never served your country in any capacity because no one who has would leave a brother behind and label them a taker.
Did you work here? Do you know anything about this place? Mouth........

<quoted text>Your small mind cannot possibly understand the geopolitical importance to the world our nation sacrificed this last decade...... It was just but not perfect...... War never is...... Normandy comes to mind...... Why go to Europe then? Tell us how many died in one day..... You really know nothing thus your opinion is not important.... SIB makes more sense than you and Ginger because at least he cites a part of history for his claims.....
You have to be reminded Batch. There was zero cause for us to attack Iraq as it pertains to the 9/11 attack on us. The facts are plain clear and abundant.

Normandy? Seriously? It was WWII. It was a World War that Congress declared. Not by any stretch the same as Iraq and/or even Afghanistan that have never been declared wars by Congress. And according to one opinion it took us 20 years to pay off the WWII debt. Others say we never have with all things considered.

The geographical importance of the war in Iraq is that we now have a permanent base in the "all important" Middle East". And right next door to Iran.

And if the geographical importance is so important why the gripe about the debt we are dealing with because of it? Should it be worth the price if it is of such geographical importance?

You seem to ignore the regional history... Even now, the "Persians" and renamed by Hitler, the Iranians are now presenting a new problem for the Arabs...... They do need help or do we let the kingdoms fail and see what we get......

Then quit gripping about taxes. It takes tax money to support these types of operations.

Or is it with you that you believe it more important to be taking care of these middle eastern kingdoms than the people here.

And lets not ignore that a very major part of our "needing" to take care of these kingdoms is for business purposes. But we can't be raising THEIR taxes to be paying for what they get the most benefit from now can we.

This discussion needs to be moved off here. Perhaps to the Blame republicans thread. This has nothing to do with G.R. needing another God's Kitchen.

Do I know anything? I work near the corner of 68th and Division if that tells you anything, if it doesn't try google mapping it. You can insert your foot now. Maybe you should come down sometime and I can give you a tour, show you some of those vets you seem to care so much about.

So cutting defense first in your world is better than making people responsible for their own kids.... Right......

Jimbo you poor ignorant fool...... That is my old neighborhood...... Kentwood '79 and Kellogsville school district does not shock my sensibilities...... three years ago I was flashed by a gal with some assets......
Those vets need the help so why are they not helped? Who is driving their motivation? A lot of the time it is the rapid down time to civilian time...... Case in point.... You got a guy who wears a red shirt on a Carrier in charge of fusing then they have nothing to drive them and the charge de affairs and they go numb.... Tough to stop the momentum and function...... No one shows the way to put the energy back into their being..... They miss it...... The redirection is lacking...... The reprogramming is lacking....
