Ooooh...tough guy! LOL Hit a nerve, did I? I hear medical marijuana is good for that. Why don't you go hit your stash and chill? You seem way too tense and all that stress and negative energy isn't good for you...might have a stroke or something before Obamacare kicks in fully and that would be unfortunate.

Hey Go Blue, since you seem to have worn a groove in that broken record of yours, why don't you tell us all in detail why exactly Obama should be credited for any uptick in this economy's molasses-in-Winter "recovery". I'm pretty sure it wasn't anything he did on the golf coursem wich seems to be where he's spent most of his time when not in perpetual self-promotion mode. So please, wow us with your version of Obama's great economic policy success.

Bush's fault of course but also that it was worse than they thought once again. Every time it turns the wrong way for them they say it was worse then they thought. It's what they said after each of the three recovery summers.

So in other words you have no way of proving how much time I spend on Topix and you also don't have the balls to sign up so we can compare who posts more...

The real danger at that worksite was the combination of a very shady domolition company owner hiring an uncertified crane operator who was a twice convicted felon who used drugs, mj AND pain killing drugs were found in his system.
MJ was in no way the sole cause of that accident.

Common sense would dictate, that the act of smoking anything.....would have a negative health effect...MJ sure has taken a beating over the years, especially by the same crowd that would scream if you reached for their booze or guns.....

And their cigarettes and highly addictive prescription pain killers.

Who says booze is good for you? You guys keep bringing up booze as if someone is saying it is safe. It is poison and can also be dangerous

Last I checked booze and guns were legal in America, therefore we have every right to scream when our legal rights are being attacked.

If legislation is passed that makes marijuana legal I'll fight to protect that right. But those who want to legalize it had better come up with a better reason for doing so than, "well it's not as bad for you as crack!", or they'll never get it passed.

As for the article that brought this damned discussion back into play, I suspect it was the pain killers that caused this accident to happen more than anything. Considering the guy was also taken pain killers I wonder of the marijuana in his system was prescribed medical. Has any report suggested he'd obtained a medical mj prescription?

There are medical studies showing that 1 or 2 glasses (read 4 ounces) of red wine per day can have some health benefits, primarily in protecting against heart disease. Red wine contains resveratrol which is a potent antioxidant.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/red-wine/HB0...
Even beer in moderation (1-2 twelve ounce glasses daily) seems to have potential health benefits. http://www.forbes.com/2008/03/14/beer-drink-h...
The difference between having a glass of wine or a beer and smoking a joint is that you can have a glass of wine or a beer and not become drunk but you can't smoke a joint and not become high.

I think that same criteria would apply to you and since you accused the other poster first, I'd say you were both wrong. Don't like unregistered posters? Talk to Topix about that. Until then, quit whining like a child and man up yourself. You do seem to have an unhealthy obsession with winning and being right since you seem to declare yourself the 'winner' frequently. You might want to see a shrink about that; it makes you come across as a little unhinged.

The thing is, combining anything with marijuana produces unpredicatable effects. There is no way of knowing the effect will be cumulative or if the MJ will exponentially potentiate the effect of the other substance be it booze or some other drug. IF he was taking pain killers alone, he might have been fine if he hadn't been mixing them with MJ. Besides...if MJ is SUCH a wonderful pain killer, why would he need both? Hmmm...maybe it's not all that great as some claim?

Actually that's not correct. He/she accused me of having a habit of staying on Topix all day. I challenged him/her to sign up so we could count posts and compare who posts more.
Since the greyboxer's don't have a post count he/she made a hollow accusation that I challenged and he/she can't back up their claim.

No big deal...
