It is about time that Amway (Alticor, whichever you prefer) held its distributors accountable to some code of conduct. I am not sure what the distributors in question did, but this is the first time that Amway has ever taken action to protect the integrity of its marketing business.

Quixtar needs to forget this!! They are going to loose a ton of volume no matter the outcome. All they are achieve is a worse name for themselves at a time when they are going to change their name back to AmWay. Not so smart in my opinion!!!

Those were just any distributors. Included were some of the top leadership in the country.

Lisa - this isn't the first time. Amway/Quixtar terminated a similiar number of leading distributors about 4 years ago. They are however definitely taking a much, much stronger line in general than before.

Who are they trying to terminate? What did they do? Is it the clan from "Team" for pushing only "their tools" instead of focusing on the products?

The reason these IBOs went to court was because Quixtar threatened to terminate them without cause. I am one of them. I have been representing Quixtar for more than eight years and have never been told I was violating any rules. But because Quixtar honchos are angry with the people who brought me into Quixtar, they have threatened terminate hundreds of innocent IBOs.

Since their year-end bonuses are based on volume through August 31, guess what termination means? Millions of dollars Quixtar won't have to pay in bonuses. And the IBOs who abided by and trusted the published rules, the ones who depend on this income, get nothing!

Allie, Dearest Allie, unfortunately there are people who think they can build a business of this type without "their tools". Sadly for you it is a proven fact that no one person in this whole industry has ever their business to a significant level without the use of "their tools". Allie maybe you are right, why would someone focus on "their tools" when they could buy a box of loundry soap for $28 bucks instead HMMM????

Well 3Kids the Actual Purpose of the Business of being an IBO is to have everyone BUY PRODUCTS and in turn get paid back from those purchases, BUT because some GREEDY people realized there was more money in "Tools" than Products, they decided to direct the focus of the business to Tapes, Books, Seminars, Conventions, etc.

Yes, it is good to teach non-business minded people how to think like a business person, but there is a limit to how far you take it!
