Actually, Ronald, it is you who is wrong. Go back to my first post in this thread,#15, and follow the instructions to an article on the Reuters website which shows how the Republians have been working to pass RTW since early 2011. I will never be happy about Michigan being a RTW state. The Republicans made deceptive arguments to pass that bill which, contrary to their arguments, just brings unfairness and inequality to the workplace. Go to the NLRB's website and read what they have to say about Right To Work states:

Actually you are wrong. I'm not saying they did not welcome it. I am simply saying Snyder very clearly told the unions if they go forward with the proposal they would spark all this RTW stuff. He then said he does not have it on the agenda and has no plans to get into it. It does not matter that the republicans wanted it in 2011 that is irrelevant. It was all said very clearly that no one was going to do anything about RTW. The union made there own bed. I love it! That's the fact like it or not!

Sorry, Ronald, but you are wrong. How can something they've been working on since early 2011 be sparked by an election in late 2012?
You are portraying their working to pass it as simply being a desire for it. And, if they said they weren't going to do anything about RTW while woring behind the scenes to pass RTW then that's just another example of the deception involved in passing that bill.

I understand, SeenItBefore. I just saw it as an opportunity to make the point that RTW is something the Republicans have been working on long before Prop2 was defeated. But, thank you for clarifying that you didnt write that post.

Proposal-2 was a direct response to try and thwart the RTW legislation the Republicans had been gearing up for for so many years before.

When Snyder made his "threat" that Prop2 would "cause RTW legislation" he was well aware it had already been in the works for so long.

You are absolutely correct in your assertions.

You leave out that he said it was not on the agenda and he himself had no interest in pursuing it. Nobody is saying they did not want it or that Republicans have not pursued it in the past. What did you think, he meant he would not take the gift, so to speak? What a bunch of fools!

How is it a threat? He said if unions pushed proposal 2 he believed it would spark RTW legislation. That is what you call a threat. You are Very funny!

Seem's to me that the bottom line to, right to work is "Work alot more, to make alot less".....I have seen that format introduced to several other career paths....It's no wonder that the corporate wealthy and their representation in politics are pushing it.....Another example of corporate greed.....

Snyder is a political trickster. The sooner you understand that the happier you will be.

He KNEW it was on the Republican agenda. You're a fool if you don't believe that. HE wasn't going to "initiate it", it was political suicide for him and he knew he wouldn't have to because the "representative branch" was already laying in wait. They were emboldened when Prop2 being voted down.

If Snyder himself had no interest in pursuing it and it wasn't on his agenda, why did he so eagerly sign it into law? You weren't paying attention to not see how quickly he wanted it on his desk. Oh ya, it was the will of the people threw their representatives...scoff chuckle choke.

And of course you missed that the proponents of Prop2 were honest enough to put it before an open vote of the people while the Republicans slipped it under the door in the dark of night.

Once again the republicans have shown their true colors. Slipping it under the door in the middle of the night rather than put it to a vote of all the people. Because they KNEW it would fail.

To which you will refute; then why did Prop2 fail? BECAUSE Prop2 was a Constitutional Amendment. Even though I voted in favor of Prop2 I was not pleased with it being presented as a Constitutional Amendment. Because I knew the flurry that would be caused by opening the Constitution.

Hopefully when you get past junior high you will better understand the political process.

Don't forget the right to freeload on what other people pay their hard earned dollars to negotiate for.

Yeaa, the right doesn't believe in wealth re-distribution.

The fact is unions are now a dictatorship and having the freedom to choose is the way it should be. Companies need their employees to work for their money. That is not greed. You are so stupid! Lol!

So take a spoon full of your own medicine. Obama won and you can cry all you want about it.

It is interesting how you're so afraid of the "government" taking away your legal rights while all-the-while you praise the dictatorship that is private employment.
