organized labor has long had a head lock on Michigan and other formerly industrial states and where the head goes the rest of the body will follow.

a person should have the unconditional right to work at any job they are accepted into period.

they are individually responsible and accountable for their own attendance, work ethic and performance.

this herd mentality will continue to bankrupt the economy and send more jobs elsewhere.

our illustrious leader pontificates change; so change already.

Herd mentality? You mean participating in what you gain the benefits from? Yes it is the conservative perspective one should be able to gain from what they don't contribute to. We now have a State in which it is law workers who choose not to belong to the Union still benefit from what paid representatives negotiate in wages and benefits.

What you will now see is no headway in wages and benefits because some companies are no longer faced with loss of production from a strike for failure to recognize the contribution of their workers to the bottom line.

Remember not every politically correct employee with benefit from their "good work ethic".

You are willfully uneducated and delusional in believing this law gives anyone a Right to work. All it means is they have a Right to work without having to pay their fair share for the benefits they receive from the representation others pay for.

But then that's what conservatism is isn't it. Freeloading on what others put forth the effort toward.

If you really want "the Right to work" then go get a job where there is no union and you are truly on your own moocher. But then that's the way it's always been when Michigan and all other states that were were At Will employment.

Let the people vote! They should have put RTW up for a vote but the spineless lame duck republicans dont believe in democracy. My bet is that if the union bill was not a constitutional amendment there would have been different results. Why are the republicans afraid of democracy? Let the people vote! Michigan will boot all the dictator republicans out in 2014. Watch and see democracy rules and dictators get thrown out. Oh and this confirms republican are the real freeloaders. Also I hear this is going into effect on april fools day fitting for all you republican fools.

Absolutely spot on. If the right-wing was really concerned with what's best for workers they would have put it to a vote of ALL the workers in the state to decide. After all it was put to the ballot to make everyone decide if collective bargaining should be a constitutional right here in Michigan.
I didn't agree it should be in the Constitution, though I still voted in favor of it, at least the left put it before all the people to decide.

The right just keeps exposing what they really think of We The People.

Dictator Republicans? Obama is the dictator along with his merry band of union brownshirts. The governor was elected by the people in a democratic election and won because people are sick of the goon leftist BS! If you uniondildos hadn't tried to pass proposal 2 we would not be talking about this. I guess the left no longer has the monopoly on strong arm tactics does it? Get used to it. Michigan is now a RTW state and if you don't like it, you can take your sorry limp dick to California were goons like you are welcomed.

So what you are saying is Obama wasn't elected by the people in a democratic election? George W. Bush was the latest President not elected by the people in a democratic election. Or haven't you paid attention on that either.
Just keep explaining how out-of-touch you are. Proposal 2 was on the ballot BECAUSE RTW has a major part of the Republican agenda for a very long time. If you don't believe it take a look at this http://www.miafscme.org/RTW_overview.htm if you will even bother to.

As long as you didn't like Michigan being an At Will (employment) state why didn't you take your sorry limp dick to some other of the 22 states were the clueless like you are welcomed?

Really, you are a brave person to put your stupidity to writing.

I hate to bring reality into your delusional world, but please do yourself a favor and go to the Reuters website. Click on "US News" and do a quick search for the article "Insight: How Republicans engineered a blow to Michigan's powerful unions". As Reuters points out, the Michigan Republicans have been working to get a RTW bill passed here in Michigan since 2011. It wasn't the failure of Prop 2 that led them to try and pass RTW; that just emboldened them to try it now. Their efforts pre-date Prop 2 by more than a year. Actually, I do enjoy bringing reality into your delusional little world.

I don't know if I found what you had pointed to but I do find this, anyway, note worthy:
"Thus the union turn to politics and the right-wing effort to blunt that labor weapon. Obamacare, higher taxes on the rich, infrastructure spending, an extension of unemployment benefits: All these public policies would help working Americans. But, as Scott Hagerstrom, the Michigan director of the Koch brothers-backed Americas for Prosperity, told the 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference,We fight these battles on taxes and regulations, but really, what we would like to see is to take the unions out at the knees so they dont have the resources to fight these battles.
http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2012/12...
It also points out the history of the battle for Plutocracy is nothing new.

This is obviously a battle to (once again) segregate, not necessarily racially, the country rather than unify it. Remember unify sounds too much like union. Which by the way is in the first phrasing of the United States Constitution; "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility,..."

It was not on the table before the proposals. There were to many other things that Snyder was attending to like he warned before Election Day in his radio address. They did not listen. They got what was coming to them. That's the truth. I was disappointed with Snyder up until this!! Lol!!

Sure, what with Obama getting 100% of the vote in several districts and districts getting 108% of registered voters some brain dead moron could say he won fair in a democratic election. Haven't you paid attention to that?

WTF does you link have to do with Prop 2? You want to point out that republicans are behind RTW? No sh1t

One could make the same argument that you are free to move to a Non-RTW state.
