Of course you would blame Obama because you're not old enough to remember YOUR argument of double taxation has been around for a VERY LONG time.
I'm sure every dollar you earn has been taxed many multiple times before you got it. So therefore it is double taxation to tax you on it, right? You buy a used car. When it was purchased new sales tax was paid. Now that you are purchasing it, used, you don't have to pay sales tax because sales taxes were already paid on it, right? Assuming of course the sale at new and at used were in the same state. Sold used in another state would be different, right?
No I'm not justifying it. You're just operating on a technicality that thus far hasn't been followed through with yet.
Interesting that if I buy a car from a family member I don't have to pay sales taxes.

I would suggest you watch the Milton Friedman video on estate taxes.

I've watched and read enough about Milton Friedman to know all I need to about what sounds good but just doesn't work. Friedman was a freeken hack.

And he lied how? Did you even bother to ask them how they think he lied?
Don't get the idea I'm defending Obama. I'm not. He had control of the steam roller and he didn't gas it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, he's too willing to compromise just to get along. He had Boehner and McConnell on the ropes and wouldn't do what they would and have done to him...roll over him (Obama) just because they could and enjoy(ed) doing it.
Really? Have you even bothered to read what is in this bill? The Republicans laid down and let Obama have his way. But, we know, the progressives and elitists in this country don't care as long as it's Obama who signs the bills. I didn't have to ask how he lied, I already knew. Not my problem that you and others can't see him for what he is.

Read the Bill? No. Maybe when I feel like getting even more insulted.

But hey, the Republicans got most of what they wanted. Taxes raised on all those not rich by ignoring the 2% increase on payroll taxes. Ya know, those Federal Income Taxes that EVERYONE that draws a paycheck pay.? The tax that will take $2,000 extra out of everyone making up to $110,000.

Once again the Republicans have made sure the richest benefit the most. And Obama helped em do it.

Your a fool if you believe the richest benefit the most from this deal. Capital gains up 5%, ordinary income rate up 4.6%, Medicare surcharge taxes of 3.8%. Seems like all of those are more than 2% don't you think? Also the medicare surcharge will be added to the capital gains rates so they will be seeing an increase of 8.8% on dividens and capital gains, and an increase of 8.4% on other investment income, along with a 5.5% increase on W-2 wages with medicare surcharge. Also they will be paing the extra 2% SS tax as well as everyone else.

$42 in tax increases for every $1 of spending cuts and you think it's fair and balanced?

You just don't want to get it do you. Whatever miniscule increases on the top incomes is not going to eliminate them from participating in the economy. While the rest are going to be able to participate less beyond the bare necessities. And many barely that. Which will drag the overall economy down. And eventually destroy it.

Quit gripping about the national debt then when you have no sense of what caused it. And NO it wasn't what you want it to have been.

How would a retired teacher suck of your life work? So what you believe is no one deserves the retirement benefits they worked for?

And don't bother giving me this crap about your current taxes paying for it. Responsible management would have put those monies aside rather than promise future tax money to pay for it. At that there were billions in the stock market for pension plans that your beloved marketeers saw as free money to squander as they so pleased and still make huge salaries and bonuses off of even after they mismanaged it.

You obviously are a sorely misinformed lemming.

Sorry, I guess I just don't understand that a 2% tax increase is huge compared to a "miniscule" 8.8% increase. If I could just learn your math maybe I could be ignorant just like you.

Me lived off your labor? Fat chance sonney boy. I raised my kids without ANY help from you. And you aren't contributing a precious nickle to me. I paid my way even through the four recessions you republican hacks caused. And didn't moan and groan 1/10th of what you do.

If you learned anything about math in school you might want to try using it on the income scale. It's because you're using your math that makes you stupid about it.

I'll give you a very simple example. If you take 56.8% from $500,000 and 50% from $60,000 who is left with more? So sorry the one making $500,000 is now poorer than the one making $60,000. Oh, wait a minute, that's your math that flips the wealth scale.

Well you'd have to get into more detail in order to earn any sympathy. But then that would mean you'd have to disclose and that wouldn't be right...to make your claim legit now would it.

But as it sounds like you're in the agriculture business how much of "your" money came from a government subsidy from my taxes?
