Even Fox doesn't want to cover it. I had to do a search on their site to find the story.
I knew you would just HAVE to comment on this. Apparently your Obamacare doesn't cover the mental illness known as PDS??

1. in the sixties i didn't suffer from hippie angst; i had girl angst:):). my master sergeant father wouldn't let me grow my hair long, so my thing was budweiser and fast cars.
2. i never said anything political, yet you guys always jump to george bush in your apologetic response. amazing.
3. my wife is in the medical field. trust me when i tell you that people fly all over the world to get particular treatments and care, sometimes to the u.s., sometimes other countries. this dog won't hunt. the u.s. ranks 37th according to WHO, one step above slovenia and two above cuba.
4. i never said america was "evil." where did you get that?
5. we are charitable, because we are trying to buy our friends. whatever happened to being the "fortress on the hill" that others looked up to? do we have to prostitute ourselves to get respect?
6. international crimes? how about sweden, norway, denmark, tibet, switzerland. i have plenty more but space is limited.
7. so being exceptional in your definition means owning a tv or a car? i thought it meant more than that.
8. we were discussing exceptionalism, not utopia. i thought the garden of eden was the only utopia that ever existed:):)
[would it scare you to know that h.w. is a one-worlder with a whole lot more clout than soros will ever have?]

Who's the H.W. you're referring to? Apologetic response??

You're reference to the World Health Organization is fine if you take what the UN, which the WHO is a part of, as something other than a political tool.
http://www.conservapedia.com/World_Health_Org...

Within just 45 years of its creation, the UN is straddled between the rich nations that have funded it, led by America, and the poorer nations. If it continues to remain divided into rich and poor nations, where does this leave the whole concept of all nations working for one common goal?

It appears to me America's exceptionalism and embrace of free market capitalism is a threat to the United nation's goal of all nations working as one. Therefore, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they'd find reason to rank America lower than other nations at every opportunity, whether it's true or not. Politics.

Exceptionalism DOES mean more than money ... but you asked for en example and I gave you a pretty good one that everyone could grasp. If you can't refute my example then I guess the point is made.

We are trying to "buy our friends"? There's the old liberal anti-American sentiment.
Arthur C. Brooks of Syracuse University conducted a study on charitable giving a couple of years ago, and published the following findings.

70 percent of Americans give to charity each year, and do so at far higher levels than people in other developed nations: three times as much as the British, four times as much as the French, and seven times as much as the Germans.
That's exceptional! You just choose to ignore it.

Here's more facts, albeit from 2007 still poignant:

1. you have the nerve to cite phyllis schlafly's rag as a legit source? that's too funny. conservapedia spends most of its time sourcing homosexual rage rants.
2. if you don't know h.w. then you are not well-grounded in your own beliefs.
3. okay, i'll play. tell me what political angle WHO is working in the context of ranking the health care by country. what do they gain?
4. your exceptionalism argument is totally without merit. i own three tv's, two cars, and a motorcycle. that doesn't make me feel exceptional. would you care to know where our economy ranks right now? look at china, india, and germany, then tell me how exceptional we are. give me a measure of exceptional that counts, otherwise i will assume you concede.
5. lastly, if you are pinning your exceptionalism argument on charitable giving, then you win. but i gotta tell ya, i thought it meant more than that. i will also concede that we are exceptional if you want to take credit for our "geographical accident."

Insult the source when you can't refute the facts, trikeman. Your choice, but I think people here have seen enough of that tactic and what it means.

Who's this H.W. you referred to. Don't be shy. It's an honest question.

I'l play your game, if you don't know the angle WHO is working in the context of, not only did you completely miss the information that I supplied but you are not well-grounded in your own beliefs. See, that game gets us nowhere.

My exceptionalism argument is common sense, you just choose not to recognize it. If you can honestly sit there and look at what opportunities, benefits, property rights and possessions a person considered poor in America has compared to other nations' reality of poverty (starving to death being one), then I can't help you. You clearly aren't willing to acknowledge the obvious.

"Geographical accident"?? You're going to have to flesh that one out for me as I'm just a simple artist. Even so, if I read you correctly I've a whole lot more respect for the work and sacrifice of our founding fathers and those that died on the field of battle ever since to just chalk this beacon of freedom up to a mere "geographical accident".

Again, trikeman, you ask for proof of America's exceptionalism, then when I provide it you claim it's not enough. We could play that game forever...or not. Frankly, I expected more debate skills from you as I've read more than one post of yours claiming to possess serious logic. With all due respect, avoiding facts by taking pot shots at sources and playing "move the target" games is rather less than exceptional. I don't want to "play". I'm interested in discussion. It's up to you.

So you cap off two rounds illegally from your porch then a frantic situation turns worse when finding more shells to reload the gun...... Joe is a moron and is next in line to the O....... Can't Joe's wife just blow a whistle, urinate on herself, vomit, use a pen to fend off someone twice her size.... Wait! There is always a call box so the po po can find her body and fill out the paperwork....... Of course Jill is protected with automatic weapons by our wonderful Secret Service (who put up with nonsense), our daughters are on their own with limited options......
