I think to a certain degree it's good at this point to let the communists do their deeds. What better way for Americans of every political leaning to see and decide who they want to align themselves with? The more radical the left's actions are the more rational folks will recognize these organized violent minions do not represent them any longer - at least that's what I'm hoping!

We need to have an honest national discussion and decide "what is America?". Do we need this "Bottom Up, Top Down, Inside Out" transformation? Do we need to distribute wealth? Do we need to abandon our exceptionalism as a nation of freedoms in order to co-opt into George Soros's dream of a single world government?

The only way to answer these questions is to clearly define the factions and the argument.

Not to be to philosophical or too Pink Floyd but here it goes.

"Tear Down The Wall" and expose the failure that is communism. Tear down the wall of diversity, tear down the wall of violence. Expose these things for what they are. Nothing more than devices to create fear and chaos and strife.
There is more to this than just a bunch of angry college students.

1. everyone that wants to protest peacefully has the right to do so - yes even that incredibly despicable westboro baptist church group hellbent on showing up at the edwards funeral. protesters that aren't peaceful should be put away. period.
2.yes, we need a transformation, because left untended you will have a revolt in this country that no police dept will be able to quell. we can't keep borrowing money. study what happened right after world war one with the deutschemark. then you'll get an idea of what's before us.
3. we lost our "exceptionalism" badge in the 1980's and 1990's when we started this international trade agreement crap, selling our manufacturing soul to the chinese, indonesians, and mexicans. we are now a second tier country. as soon as china or saudi arabia starts calling those treasury bonds we sold them, we are going to be in deep s**t .
4. you watch way too much fox news and glenn beck. you make george soros sound like the leader of the world. he is a pawn. there are much more powerful people who have been involved in this way longer than soros. you would be shocked at their political affiliations - no, you'd be p****d.

No not really. In the US, yes we do, it's a Constitutional right. But in other countries, not so much. And this was in the UK.

America never lost it's exceptionalism - and it was never a "badge". The fact you consider it so is a reflection on you. America's exceptionalism is measured in far greater terms than monetary. We are a free society and we believe every one has been granted unalienable rights BY OUR CREATOR that give us an equal opportunity to take what God has given us and make something of ourselves. That doesn't mean everyone is equal, nor does it mean we have to knock others down to level the playing field at the whim of whatever special interest group happens to gain a politician's ear.

As for the trade agreement"crap" - you're right. We are already in serious deep s**t. We're not going to get out of that shit by demonizing the American wealth-generators, regardless of those that choose to bring jobs overseas. However, we certainly will lose our exceptionalism if people like George Soros, who you excuse as merely a pawn,(how many multi-billionaires do you know that are pawns?) have their wishes of a one world government.

1. yes we have lost our exceptionalism. i defy you to give me one fact-based thing we excel at in the world today besides jingoism and weapons technology(though i believe israel can beat us at that). i will wait for your list.
2. saying so is a reflection on me in what way? please be specific. i love my wife but she has faults; i love me but i have a ton of faults. i love my country, but it has faults i can't fix.
3. you say we are a free society with inalienable rights granted by our creator. did that start for the american indians as soon as we herded them onto reservations? did that start for blacks with the 14th amendment? or the civil rights act? what about all them mexicans? do they have rights? what about them muslims? do they have rights? or are god's rights only offered to you white boys from the beginning?
4. i haven't knocked down anybody to a level playing field. wha'dya mean willis?
5. i didn't demonize wealth builders; you did. you're the guy that apparently doesn't like soros.
6. yes, soros is a pawn in terms of money and political position. go count up the made men(billionaires) since 1980; the number will astound you.

would it scare you to know that h.w. is a one-worlder with a whole lot more clout than soros will ever have?

study the origin and evolution of the world bank. study the people responsible for enacting laws in the u.s. which prohibited surrendering currency for gold and silver. study the people behind the "selling" of the euro. study the people behind nafta, cafta, and x-rim agreements. study the people who have been behind the borrowing of money from china and saudi arabia. study the people behind the decision to purchase oil from opec. i could keep going but there is plenty to read on this topic. sooner or later in your research, you will start seeing some interesting names appearing more than once......

This is the kind of 60's mentality bred in the 60's by pot-smoking angst-ridden kids. "America sucks. It's all "the man's" fault. Blame Bush and capitalism". Let's bring up a bunch of societies and people you otherwise don't give a damn about unless they're plight can be hijacked to promote your socialist philosophies.

Here's your proof of exceptionalism:

You don't see Americans jumping into floating deathtraps made of styrofoam and cardboard, risking the lives of their children to cross the ocean to get to Cuba. You don't see Americans running to England, or Canada, or France or Germany for health care. You don't see otherwise law-abiding Americans leaving everything behind to crawl through a tunnel and hide in a pickup truck for days to cross into Mexico.
Jingoism and weapons technology? "jingoism" has created more wealth that in turn has been distributed by charity throughout the world than any other nation on Earth. We are by far the most charitable country in both humanitarian and emergency aid. Oh, so evil is America!! Weapons technology has kept you and that faulty wife of yours safe as toast while communist and radical nations have wanted to blow your angry little butt off the planet. But who cares about that? We need to feel bad because we've done bad things. Well, you find me a nation that hasn't committed crimes against humanity or made mistakes in the past. I dare you!:)

Show me another country where being considered poverty level means you can still live in a home, own a big-screen TV, a car and a credit card, let alone put food on the table or clothe your family. What we in America consider poverty would be unachievable in many countries. That's not exceptional? Show me a better place.
But you know all this. You just choose to ignore it in favor of pining for some Utopian socialist Eden where the government is god and no one ever has a bad day. Good luck with that.

1. in the sixties i didn't suffer from hippie angst; i had girl angst:):). my master sergeant father wouldn't let me grow my hair long, so my thing was budweiser and fast cars.
2. i never said anything political, yet you guys always jump to george bush in your apologetic response. amazing.
3. my wife is in the medical field. trust me when i tell you that people fly all over the world to get particular treatments and care, sometimes to the u.s., sometimes other countries. this dog won't hunt. the u.s. ranks 37th according to WHO, one step above slovenia and two above cuba.
4. i never said america was "evil." where did you get that?
5. we are charitable, because we are trying to buy our friends. whatever happened to being the "fortress on the hill" that others looked up to? do we have to prostitute ourselves to get respect?
6. international crimes? how about sweden, norway, denmark, tibet, switzerland. i have plenty more but space is limited.
7. so being exceptional in your definition means owning a tv or a car? i thought it meant more than that.
8. we were discussing exceptionalism, not utopia. i thought the garden of eden was the only utopia that ever existed:):)
