I think that there is not a reason to suspend the child from not riding the school bus. That is just another reason for a child to hate school and drop out. He is striving for attention and that is the only way that he thinks that he is going to make friends. There is something else that is going on with him and some of the kids.

what will come next...just like a child who defends himself meaning if struck and or being jumped they too pay the consequence of being suspended too..because of the no touching at all policy..thats sooo stupid....administration needs to review each case as it comes not just suspend for such stupid reasons.....like passing gas.....and i though wyoming public schools were stupid for their rules....

First of all, THIS is newsworthy?

Second of all, this is f'd up. I mean, seriously? Passing smelly gas is funny. Who doesn't laugh? Now laughing is a disruption and will get you suspended from district transportation.

Jesus H. Christ. Get a grip, morons. If you take life this seriously all the time, there's something wrong with you. He was on the bus for chrissake.

I feel really bad for kids growing up in this day and age. I don't know how any of us ever survived our childhoods without someone there protecting us from ourselves and from having and clean (or in this case, foul) fun.

Typical kids having fun - why on earth suspend him from riding the bus? It's so innocent. My grandsons do similar things when in the car with me.

They also burp and stick their hands under their armpits and move their arms up and down to make fart sounds. Just cracks me up!

Had a substitute teacher in high school try and press assault charges on me for blowing wind at her. The regular teacher (Band) gave us the hour as a free hour, and my friends and I were playing a card game. Apparently she thought it was satanic and unappropriate for school, then singled me out and took my cards and threw them in the trash. Of course the cards were collectable and my deck worth almost $100 so I was upset and dug my cards out and went back to my seat. She then confinscated them again and said she was going to dispose of them later. So I got up, took my cards from her desk, and roasted a fart all could hear in the band room. She got the principal and said she wanted to press charges. He laughed in her face but said he was suspending me. In the hallway behind her back he laughed histarically and told me to take the day off. Nothing of it went on my record and she never subbed a class they knew I'd be in again.

In Belding schools, the kids will get sent to the office and reprimanded for passing gas. They get in school suspension for it. They also get conducts if it;s on the bus. I want to see the administrators hold a fart all day. It will never happen. Come on this is a natural bodily function. What a crock of bullsh**.

PFFFFFFT...oops.

There are certain conditions that cause that..like Crohns disease, colitis, diverticulitis...hey, it happens! As IF no one doesn't have those air biscuits escape now and then.

Kid may need a less fiber filled diet?????

BUT it is not meant to be entertainment..so it depends on the kid's situation. Some of us (who have one of those diseases) don't find it funny! We are SO embarrassed if/when it happens.

Still...I can laugh at someone's farts, who doesn't?...ONCE IN A WHILE. Not forced.

The kid was so proud to finally have passed something, and gets suspended. What kind of message are we sending our kids these days?

WhatÂ’s next, sneezing, picking your nose, maybe a runny nose, ear wax, period (got to change the pad), burp, hiccup, wheezing, body odor, dandruff.
Passing gas is a natural body function, in fact, after my GERD surgery, every time I eat, in a matter of minutes, I have gas. Very painful when you are in meetings, but have to live with it. More space outside than inside people....

Yeah, well when I was in high school, I was in science class and we were sitting on the floor doing a lab experiment. I had eaten two bean burritos earlier in the day, and had this little, er, gas problem. Well, actually, not so little; I felt like I was going to explode, but unfortunately, this teacher never let us have bathroom passes. Finally I couldn't hold my flatulence back anymore and let 'er rip. And boy was it loud! It was really embarrassing because there were a couple of hot girls in that class -- totally not cool. My teacher thought I did it on purpose, and he gave me an after school detention. I refused to take it because it was an involuntarily bodily function, so then he turned it over to the dean and it became a Saturday school! My mom called the dean to complain and he choked down a laugh but said he had to support the teacher. Sheesh!
