After reading about how how Bush wasn't doing a good job and now how it's Obamas turn at getting dumped on. I want to know what you people want in a President, because no President is perfect.

I'd go for someone who really meant it when they swore to "Uphold the Constitution"...

I'd go for someone you isn't trying to take my hard earned assets to redistribute to people sitting on their ass whining.

I'd like someone who remembers that he works for the American people - not his fellow politicians or his own pocketbook or his own hubris or anything else that drives the politicians. (I'd like to see that in ANY person in government - just for the sake of variety.)

Here's what I want to know. Why are those on the "right" calling those on the "left" socialists, Marxists, Communists, in the name of individual liberty, capitalism and the free market system for wanting National Health Care and unions when what business minded people in this country are currently literally supporting and feeding actual Communist, "Marxist", authoritarian and anti-individual freedom countries in the name of capitalism and the free market system.

We historically have and do send our troops into other countries to die for the sake of democracy and individual freedoms while we are literally feeding the economics of known and self proclaiming countries that are Communist, "Marxist", authoritarian, against Human Rights and individual freedoms. They don't even tolerate freedom of speech. What is that about? Because they practice our example of capitalism and free marketing all that goes away for them but not the people in this country that want a fair shake?

Even China has instituted an "bailout" for their companies. Note that. For THEIR natural companies. No companies that are foreign owned. No companies that are in partnership with foreign companies. Their natural companies that do business in China alone.

They (business minded) are calling for lower U.S. labor wages because we are losing in competition with those countries that the labor costs are so much lower. Which countries are those that we are losing competitive ground with that DON'T have a National Health Care system that relieves their companies from the burden of health care costs?

Seriously it doesn't take a PHD in economics to figure this out. It doesn't even take a college degree in anything to be able to figure this thing out.

Tell me why this is not an affront to all those soldiers and people who have died in the name of democracy, freedom and individual freedoms and Rights.

How can the business minded call for lower labor wages when the costs of things keep going up?? Everything we need to live keeps going up in price because of the incessant greed of the insurance corps, utilities, gasoline, food, etc.
I can't say for sure, but I believe that people in India and Mexico can scratch out a living is that they don't have as many corps sucking the lifesblood out of the people as we do here.
AS as for the healthcare thing, I will be very surprised to see national healthcare. It won't pass because someone will whine that "I'm not gettin my cut."

At one point, I'm not sure about now but wouldn't doubt that it hasn't changed, the second largest source of Mexico's income was from Mexican national's relatives working in the States sending money back home (to relatives). Second behind oil.

Double ditto.

Nice to see you keep it simple, much better than a 3 paragraph dissertation full of BS.

I think you should try that short and to the point style once.

This is so full of bovine excrement, I'm not going to dignify it with a reply.

Short and to the point: I want countrymen who are not traitors to the standards and principles this country preaches and sends others to their death to fight for but will sacrifice those standards and principles when there are 13 pieces of silver at stake without expecting their President to be better than they are and do more than they are willing to do.

Short and to the point enough for you?

"I'm not going to dignify it with a reply" Because you can't conjure up a reply that has any integrity to it.

This is kinda a mute point seeing we just swore in a New President and its far to early in his crisis plagued administration to say really what his lasting effect is going to be. These are not average times and hes not an average President.Look at all the complete blunders Bush made and we are still here to complain about it.

Knew you could do it, nice job.

As for the poll, I can't even really vote for anything, because what might be 'good' for Americans in the short run might not be 'good' in the long run. As is happening now.

Meddling in the economy is good short term, but potentially disastrous long term.

I want what is best for the country, even if it hurts for a little now.

No, because if I argued it, I would be giving it credibility, and as I stated, it is so full of BS that it isn't credible.
