The unions doomed themselves when they started shaking hands with politicians.

Didn't you know that the demented teabagger drone makes $50K before noon, thus giving him the rest of the day to listen to fellow drug addict Rush Limpdick while posting endless drivel.

When "lent" is over, what will you be picking out of there?
Home schooling really failed you poor dear.
If you spent a little less time in front of the idiot box and picked up a dictionary once in a while, you just might learn how how to spell the more simple words in the English language.

Yeah. Who do they think they are? CEO's? TV talk show hosts? The Koch bros? The Chinese? The Arabs? Big Oil? Walmart? Monsanto? Those bastards, how could they try and protect their members?

I noticed that too.

He proves it on a daily basis.

Yes, so who needs those overpaid, highly skilled educators? Those ones making just over minimum wage are good enough. In fact, home schooling is the best of all.

I see where you're coming from, however, those mentioned by you have created jobs and the unions haven't. It's not fare but it's life and you'd better get used to it.

And just how do you mean "in the middle of"?

Yes they're in the middle, "Helder [GREA President] said the district has the money to pay teachers more, and will have more funds available after the transformation plan goes into effect, but chooses not to use money for teachers".

And so will the communities [go down]. Business requires sound infrastructure. Requires a pool of a well educated and skilled work force. Requires a stable government. Requires a sound and stable taxation system for the above.

This far from over.

The days are gone when business realized they had to invest in the communities they were going to operate in. And they can't now externalize their expenses in communities where the general population can't afford what they need.

In a conservative utopia, teachers should be paid the least amount possible, while being required to perform more and more. The same goes for the simple DPW and other government workers.....

Until it comes to police and fire protection. They get paid because conservatives need protection from all the poor people they've helped to create!

Well then we are in the midst of the conservative utopia when our teachers are applying for bridge cards because they can't make enough from their profession to live on.

That must also mean they can't afford to pay taxes either to "have skin in the game".
