I know everything is expensive these days...but we will still take our boys to MI Adventure once this year. We need to have fun and play around...despite the high cost of life. My boys are not going to suffer because of it. The same goes for the movie thread( I think it is 'Movie goers eyes could pop at the price of popcorn)..... I know the cost of everything is high, but we will still see a couple of movies that we really want to see as a family this summer. I will not let high gas prices, high food prices ect., rule everything my family does. Sure we HAVE to cut back but we will still enjoy our summer.

problem is the park only has two decent rides so after paying all that and waiting in line an hour and a half a pop you get like 5 rides in for the day. Not my idea of excitement.

We do it for the kids...they love it. They don't really care about lines. They love the water area and just having a fun day out. Even if it is with 'mom and dad' LOL. Sometimes you just have to put cost and everything else aside just to see your kids have a great time:) Now don't get me wrong, I am not made of money. We are struggling in this
BS economy just like most everyone else. I am just saying, take time to still enjoy things. You can't sit and stress about money ALL the time.......

Ya but you cant just toss 200.00 + away on one day at the park either!! You can have fun with your kids without spending the house payment. When times are this bad you have to keep as much money saved as you can (keep your priorities straight) Gas food paying bills or a day with your kids at an over priced amusement park?

I know what you are saying. I am in the same boat. My point is we only do that one time a year. We save and we let the kids have a blast. We also do other things that cost nothing at all. We are HUGE baseball fans (hence my name:) so we go to the local park and play ball alot, that is when our boys are not playing in a league game of their own.We love anything outdoors, and lucky for us, nost of that is free:) Of course we make sure all the priorities are payed for...but once in awhile we like to do something other than the norm. It s.ucks that the economy is what it is.....and what is worse is I see no change anytime soon. Time to buy a motorcycle with one of those sidecars for the kids:)

We go once a yr, we pack our own lunches and eat by the car. We also bring in our own water too, after a while they don't even notice it isn't theirs. We used to buy the tickets at Meijer for less and we car pool too.

And use coupons or pop cans for discounts also (do they still do that?)

Definitely over priced though. Even my kid thinks so even if he does still like to go.

Oh great, another ride in western michigan that requires you wait in line for hours to ride because they want to be fair and safe. Heaven forbid if they run more than 1 car at a time in case something might happen and endanger the rest of the sorry folks that are waiting numerous hours to ride because the employees are not trained properley. I can't imagine what might happen to Michigan Adventure if they actually were able to get people through the line....they might turn a profit or actually have to work for a change.

There is nothing more frustating than going there than to watch one car go on the ride with three sitting there waiting for the one to get back.

We have done that too. Makes for a 'little less expensive' day:)(if there is such a thing anymore). And for everyone that is complaining about the lines..... if you like roller coasters, are psrt of the deal(although we would get more rides in) but we all know lines are just part of it . We find ways to pass the time...talk and joke around. If you don't like it...don't go.

And then when something does happen I'm sure you would be the first to sue, you are lame, why don't you just sit home and complain because you have no money to do anything anyways! O wait you already are doing that, well keeo up the good work.
So many people complain that there is not a lot to do at this park yet when they put in a new ride you all complain, at least they a continuing to build new things and add on, every year since cedar fair has bought the place they have done or added something new. I say kudos to them for making an effort to keep things rolling in the right direction. They could have just maintain the place and in 5 years it would be abandoned just like everything else in this great state. Get a clue people

The whole article is about Thunderhawk you dumbs**t, so it shouldn't have an article about Corkscrew. It's all about association.

By the way, I am always right.

Last time I was there I almost pounded one of their rent a cops!

He didn't seem to understand..... THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!

Next time his manager will be terminating his employement...(if he isn't already driving a cop car now)

You just don't follow paying customers around and treat them like subhumans because you don't like their looks!(Bible thumpers hate any man who resembles Jesus... something about that long hair and beard!)

I Like like Cedar Fair and I don't want to bring them bad publicity....

But when I take my children there this year and I catch that same rent a cop stalking me like last year.... I'll be front page news!

We live just five minutes from Michigan's Adventure and have season passes and a parking pass. Is it Cedar Point, no, who cares? The point isn't about how big and bad the rides are (and believe me, the Thunderhawk is amazing!) it's about spending time with family.

We spent $300 on our passes/parking ticket and it is the best money we've spent. We often go right after my husband gets off work, by then the all dayers are starting to leave and we can get on and off in a brief amount of time.

My husband went last year one night and rode every single rollercoaster in an hour and a half. The lines aren't that bad. Unless it is raining they usually run two cars. If they aren't running two cars there is a reason (like someone threw up on it and it is being cleaned - seen that, or it is being checked/repaired).

I am friends with a gal whose son works maintianence at the park and they do a lot of work on the rides every day to keep us safe.

Michigan's Adventure brings good money to the area and is quite the park if you look at how far you have to drive to go somewhere else.

We keep snacks in the car so don't spend the $ on food either.

It is all a matter of perspective, if you want to go someplace bigger, go spend the money on food, gas and lodging to get there and back and wait in even longer lines. We don't need your bad attitude.

Michigan's Adventure is a great place for families and a great boost for our hurting economy.

Proud to be living in Musekgon County!

P.S. Neko - the customer isn't always right. The security are there to provide security and you sound like you are ready to provoke them. I won't feel sorry for you.

Last week I saw the security address an issue that obviously needed attention. They handled it with great tact.

One final thought, if you took your family to two movies in a day, you would spend more money on theater tickets and food than you would for an entire day at MA!

Hey Slow news -- have you ever heard the saying regarding those that assume?? Just because it is an article about a particular roller coaster does not mean they have to show it's photo.....
