I believe it was called "Shout"
When it first opened it was called Shout but then they changed it to a rock and roll bar and then changed the name. That's the name I can't remember lol!

Does anyone know why Paolo's closed and why The Alpine Lounge was changed to Ten Bells and now it's some police lodge?

There used to be a movie theater on Burton and Division. NE corner-ish.
Can't remember the name but had a lot of fun there.
Anybody know if the building still stands?
It was closer to Quigley I think, Joe Perry played there in the late seventies with the "Joe Perry Project" while he was broke up with Aerosmith. The song I remember was "Let the music do the talking. The name of the theater started with an A. But I can't remember it.
I did not get in to the Joe Perry show, I hung out in the alley behind it. I do not know if it still stands.

How about the Attic and The Galewood bar?
I saw Don English and his band "Basic English" do a great version of Comfortably Numb with a wireless mike! It was the first time I saw one and I thought it was really cool. The Attic actually had some good bands.

The Galewood Bar was closed and torn down by the City. There were several shootings around the place. Hip Hop parties attracted a bad crowd.

Not racist at all. Simply the facts. Must we be P.C. all the time?

My sister in law makes the best burritos anywhere. Lots of cheese and beef. I'd say maybe better than Belline Bar!

<quoted text>Bowen's Roller Arena? Now Kentwood Funspot 52nd and Division? They used to have concerts there... You may be talking of another place, but I recall Alice Cooper play at Bowen's in the very early 70's. Dog and Suds, Candy Ann's, Ma and Pa's,(I went to Kelloggsville) The Wolf's Den, Red Lion, Arlans/Arlens?, Yankee Department Store,
Who else played at Bowen's, trying to help my dad remember...

Does anyone remember the buffet restaurant in the basement of Rogers Plaza? I think it was called Stencil's. I loved that place when I was a little kid. All you could eat pudding and mashed potatoes!

Believe In Music On 28th Street in Wyoming. Anyone remember the name of the Roller Rink on 44th Street and Clyde Park ? You could be on T.V. Saturday mornings. Also Electric Avenue turned into Dicks Resort. I remember when the weather ball was on a bank building downtown. Weird Beards Pizza on Lake Michigan Drive & Grand River That's the first place I can remember that offered pineapple on pizza.
The roller rink was called "Rollerworld". It was 1970s disco awesome!

It was Schensul's. I don't believe it was in the basement. It was in the Roger's plaza mall. There were several of them around GR in the 60's and 70's.
