No, we're talking about fluffy promises. We're talking about policies.
People are in favor of healthcare exchanges.
People are in favor of prohibiting insurers from denying people with pre-existing conditions.
People are in favor of children being able to be on their parents insurance longer.
People are in favor of prohibiting insurers from dropping people once they get sick.
People are in favor of the Medicaid expansion.
People are in favor of the spending controls.
But when you call all these things "Obamacare", they suddenly don't like it.
You can call it whatever you want. Obama wasn't the first to pitch this sort of idea. People didn't like the Hillary Clinton version either. Does that make them sexist too? Peoples' aversion to "Obamacare" has nothing to do with Obama or skin color. Obama didn't write it. He likely didn't even read it. He may even have the best of intentions at heart. And aside from allowing "children" who are well past their childhood to stay on their parents' coverage, I agree with all of those ideas. I'm sure everyone does to some degree. Many people feel we didn't need to scrap our entire health care system for ideas that could have been implemented into our existing system. Even more people are angry that this administration fumbled this thing from the start and all they seem capable of saying is "it's the GOP's fault". That's not leadership. That's amateur hour.

I still contend this is either one of the most inept administrations, or they're plan to implement Single Payer is on schedule. Either way, it's not transparent and it's not honest.

You didn't destroy sh*t. You're just another progressive jerk who's trying to put a moderate face on a leftist party and president while they're in political trouble. It's not gonna work pal. Not by a long shot. Everyone knows what Obama represents after 5 years in office. He can't hide it and for you to try proves how stupid you really are. You should just come out and say that you support collectivism....you do. I hear the White House is hiring royal butt wipers for $8/hr. You should apply!

The plan is single-payer. It always was. Keep your powder dry for that day.

Riiiiight,

Because it would be the end of the world if this country followed in the path of every other developed nation by making sure it's citizens had the right to access health care.

No, they haven't. You're making it up.

So, no, not a "generalization" of the political discourse in this country, a statement of fact that can be proven in any day or time with evidence. Amazing how ignoring it makes one believe it didn't happen.
Evidence you conveniently left out.

Stating a fact isn't whining. Another progressive who seems to think just saying it makes it so.

It's not a fact. And yes, complaining that you are always being attacked when you aren't, is whining.

Pretty ironic comment given that the people who spoke said "fact" haven't bothered to back it up.

What part of CBS, NBC, MSNBC didn't you understand? Want something more current? How about Oprah and her statement that those who don't like Obamacare are doing so based on race? How about Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman, Rachel Maddow? Those names ring a bell? Again, pretending it didn't and doesn't happen does NOT make it so. In any case, the race card has been played so much that it has become irrelevant which is truly sad because the actual cases of racism are now being ignored, much like the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Oh yeah, that's a great idea Bob. Let's go down that path so we can wait months to see a doctor. If you think single-payer is such a good plan then get the Hell out of this country and go live in Canada. Better hope you don't develop cancer though. That will be a six month wait for you.

Sure Bob. When the government proves it can even develop a functional website for less than half a billion taxpayer dollars you can champion the laughable idea it can offer affordable health care to everyone.

Everyone in America has had the ability to access health care ... everyone! What they haven't been able to do, or haven't been willing to do, is get affordable health insurance. Thus far, ACA has made all kinds of flowery promises that everyone has the "right" to health insurance, but the reality of what we've seen so far has proven that "right" doesn't get health insurance in the hands of enough people to make this predictably flawed law self-sufficient.

So your solution is to allow a government that hasn't proven able to implement even the most basic structure that any service-oriented business requires - a website - complete control over the health care of an entire nation.

Once again we see the standard liberal excuse for the failure of their ideology to achieve their promised goal: "we just haven't been allowed to do enough".

We could have achieved nearly all of the ideas that Obamacare promised by simply implementing a few changes to our existing health care system - ideas the republicans have been suggesting from the very beginning and Harry Reid has stamped DOA every time: Traveling policies, TORT reform, tax vouchers, and high risk pools for pre-existing conditions.

Ha! You morons have been whining about Bush/Cheney for over a decade .... NOW THAT'S WHINING! By the way, how are those war crimes investigations going anyway??

Leave it to Bob the troll to completely misread reality. Whining? Are you kidding me? Obamacare has been a complete disaster for the democrats at every single turn. And it was all predicted by conservatives, who have repeatedly offered solutions to the health care mess that have repeatedly been deemed "DOA" by the d-baggers. Clearly the

The part where you didn't actually give any examples. Simply saying "CBS, NBC, MSNBC" doesn't mean anything.
