I don't need to read in print how extreme and whacked out and anti American these so called liberals are.

They should be ashamed of themselves putting other countries as better than USA.

"Oh well the other countries have this have that, SO WHY THE HELL DID WE GET AWAY FROM THEM TO START THIS COUNTRY IN THE FIRST PLACE.!!!!

Blame America first, until we are equal poverty like the rest of the third world, progressives will never be happy.
And Obama is doing a fine job of trashing the place. radical extreme more like insane.

No, it isn't. The Senate's job, with respect to judicial nominees, is to make sure the President is seating qualified people.

Preventing him from seating ANYONE is the opposite of their job.

How isn't he?

His tax policy and foreign policy are both right-of-center. His signature legislative change - Obamacare - is moderate, and based on Republican ideas from the 90s.

What are his far-left policies?

Well, since you obviously are a progressive and love Obama, there obviously is no changing your mind, which is fine. It's your opinion to which you are entitled. The same as ours is what we are entitled to. And if you honestly think Obamacare is moderate, then you truly have zero clue about the true cost of this "moderate" legislation. And nice try to say it's based on the Republicans. Would that be the same Republicans that Obama is calling an "impediment"?

I don't like Obama. I didn't vote for him in 2008 or 2012.

Why can't you actually make a statement of substance rather than playing the "Oh you love Obama" card that doesn't even apply?

The insurance mandate is a Republican idea from the 90s. Feel free to look it up yourself.

A liberal form of healthcare reform would be something like a government option. An even more liberal form of healthcare reform would be single payer. An even more liberal form of healthcare reform would be nationalized healthcare.

Obamacare is moderate.

Actually, if you look at the who's who of Obama's cabinet and the votes he took while a senator, he would be considered far left. We can also look into his past and find clues there as well. As far as the insurance mandate being a Republican idea, this is true except the Republicans would have had a much "slimmer" approach to overhauling healthcare rather than building a massive bureaucracy like the Dems have done. I will also here include Obama actually caught on camera endorsing the single-payer system.

The video is from 2009 when O' was trying to reassure the public that he wasn't really seeking a single-payer system. Of course, that was a lie. The first 54 seconds or so has Obama spewing his BS but at the 0:55 mark he's busted.

Obama a moderate? He's a socialist and everyone knows this now.

Obamacare is moderate.
For the same reason conservatives can't disagree with progressive policies without being called "racists", which also doesn't even apply.

There's a lot of stereotyping going on.

I'm not sure what Obama is. He's a non-transparent talking head for the progressive party. He may be radical. He may be moderate. One thing we know for certain is he's a liar.

People move towards the center when they move from a local or state political position to a national one.
Dr X wrote:

But that's not what was done. What Obama has actually DONE in office has not been far left by any means. The inability of 3 separate posters to actually point out far left policies he's enacted is pretty good proof of that.

You don't believe we have been called racists? how about stupid tin foil hat extremists? Perhaps you should read the pipester and bobby, either separately or together. And yes, anyone who disagrees with Obama's policies has been labeled a racist. Even the much heralded Oprah, the richest woman in the world, has called those who disagree with Obama racists.

Have conservatives EVER been called racists, both fairly and unfairly? Of course.

Do they get called racists every time they disagree with a progressive policy? Hell no. That's absurd. And playing the victim.

1. Obama holds radical political ideas whether at the local or national level.

2. The only reason Obama has seemed slightly left of center rather than full progressive is because of the checks on him by the right of center which is the way our system works. As for the Affordable Healthcare Act, the president knew that he couldn't move from a free-market system to a single-payer system in just one step. That would have never passed despite the full democrat majority in both houses. This is mission creep, plain and simple. I don't care for your false analysis of Obama because I know who he is and what he stands for and it's nothing short of the destruction of our way of life. I suggest you crawl out of The_Box and see things as they really are. He will fail in his mission because he underestimated the intelligence of just enough Americans to throw the wrench into his plans. He should actually thank the U.S. political system with it's laws and political geometry. It's saved his life on more than one occasion.

Oh, I see. You're insane.
Insane is saying majority of the people want Obamacare while 60% of the people are against. Majority of the people were against it before it passed, while it was passing, and now after it has been passed. Yet he's still saying majority of Americans want it. Passing a contract without reading it and saying "we need to pass it to find out what's inside" is insane. Your support for this $&@t is insane. Your party is insane. Printing money diluting the dollar for five years is insane. Deliberately lying to the American saying "if you like your policies and you want to keep them you can PERIOD" is insane. GFY you are insane.
