Health care reform is needed and necessary for the middle class to survive. Currently my son along with millions of others is considered High risk because of his cerebral palsy...starting right away when Obama signs this bill he will be able to get health insurance. The Rebulicans (Party of No) is really going to regret being against health care reform.

The middle class will not survive, neither will the rich class. We ALL will be flat azz broke and dependent on the government for everything. Just like Obama wants. A total socialist society.

Not so great for Michigan employees. I know personally of a handful of men that will be losing their jobs over this bill. We have a hard enough time paying our own bills and unfortunately, if everything I hear about this bill is true, my husband will no longer be able to afford to help these men.

Even most conservatives believe that some form of health care reform is necessary. Ending the foolish ban on crossing state lines for coverage and subsidies for people to purchase coverage are two good examples. Makeing health care availbale to people like your son is also a noble ideal. The problem is how to pay for it. It is impossible to wave a wnad and say no a commodity that has expense is "free" it has to be paid for. What good will your sons health care be if no physicians or specialists will provide the care for the government reimbursement rate. What good will the health care be if you are told yes we will see your son but the first available appointment is in 6 months. Reform is necessary but a trillion dollars is a very large number.

It's nice to see a sincerely positive title on a thread today. I agree that this is a good thing. This bill is not perfect, and didn't go nearly as far as I would have liked, but it's a start.

Not far enough, what do you just want them to completely take over your life? We have lost a lot of freedom, if its true that the IRS will have a question on the forms if you have health insurance, and the answer is no they can fine you right on the spot then we have all lost our freedom and have become nothing more than a commodity. Why is it their business what I do with my life.
