Oh goody, more crap hot-glued to other crap and called "art" cluttering up our already cluttered trash hole.
Suddenly everyone becomes an "art expert" and they strut around GR like they're really somebody.
There's douchieness in the air.

At least you're commenting toward your expertise, "douchieness", who.
As someone who actually attends ArtPrize I've seen plenty of quality pieces of art already, and I've only been to a few locations. There's a few places we've never heard of that are venues this year, so I look forward to seeing them too.
Commerce is up for local businesses once again as a result of this unique and FUN event.
I suggest you stay hidden away until the crowds clear :)

I'm sure you're quite the art "expert", just like every other loser in michigan who turns out to these events and acts like they're suddenly "cultured" yet are still fascinated that our state looks like a "mitten". Yup, you're "high society" now boy!
Then, all the news teams who think they're 'celebrities' find any excuse just to say "artprize" every chance they get and that stupid slogan "all eyes on artprize" - gee whiz that kinda rhymes.
What a bunch of gomers. No wonder people in other states refer to us as "hicks", "rednecks" and "hillbillies".
You do know you live in michigan right? The armpit of the United States.

Suggestion for you....don't like Artprize, don't go. I don't like crowds so I don't go. That would be better than demeaning and ranting and raving like you are.

Let me guess.... you're one of those types that thinks a cross in a jar of urine is art right?

That's a liberal's idea of art.. They have no problem demeaning Christianity with a cross in a jar or a "feces Jesus" painting. That's just art and free speech. But if a guy dares burn a koran or speak ill of our enemy's religion, then that's offensive and must be stopped.

Lol - You're spot on! Douche, high-society, boy, gomer, hick, redneck, hillbilly. You nailed it describing Oneal to the T. So well in fact I'm not sure which desciptor I like best.
p.s most of the stuff they call art at these places is someone's junk they pieced together.

Oh look! Another "art" critic that wouldn't recognize art if it walked up and planted him face down on the sidewalk!

This is the best thread ever. No better indication of the goofy hate-mongers that at times pretend to be such concerned citizens, and then turn into raving intolerant lunatics when the discussion isn't about Obama or religion.
If ignorance is bliss, Pip and Whip have found their angry glee-filled Utopia here!
LOL ... entertaining as hell.

I am pretty liberal, and I don't like Artprize because all the local news stations think they are somewhat national. But that is not all that I don't like about it. I don't like crowds, and I don't like the traffic and constant talking about it on the news. However, I know there are those that like it and I do not condemn them from going. To each their own.
I agree with you about the commerce downtown. I am not a big fan of the DeVos family, however, I will give his son a lot of credit. Even though he does not know how to go without. But he does not take all the credit and says he is not the face of Art Prize.
For those that want to go go, but give it up on the free advertizing.

I suggest you watch Channel 3 News out of K-Zoo then until ArtPrize is over. As for Rick DeVos, I'm sure he's more than used to being criticized by the class envy crowd. Despite that, he realized an ingenious idea called ArtPrize, that allows people of all "classes" to participate, enjoy and yes, criticize if that's what they want to do.
Ironically, DeVos's idea of ArtPrize doesn't judge people by their income or class, but by their talent and creativity, and all are encouraged to enjoy. Even more ironically, the same people (like Pip and Whip) who criticize the wealthy, pretend to be so concerned for the poor and less fortunate when it benefits their agenda, seem to have no problem insulting dar-from-wealthy artists' visions and ideas when they participate in something that might help them achieve some level of self-worth. These intolerant pisspots can't even enjoy something called LIBERAL arts. Nothing it seems will make them happy, except destruction and divisiveness.
Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely entertained by the Pip and Whips angry ranting representation of neo-liberalism's decline into intolerance and anger. Keep it up!!
