Comprehension skills? So all you got out of the article was the chest thumping 'we win again' tone huh. You said on another thread that Obama NEVER compromises on ANYTHING EVER. So where he does and its in your perspectives favor Obama takes a defeat.
You must seriously like the political gamesmanship more than anything else. When Boehner says who'd have thought we would get 99% of the Bush tax cuts made permanent doesn't point out loud and clear to you he ADMITS the cuts were and meant to be, by his own party, temporary?
So now the tax cuts are permanent causing less revenue to pay the debt it's another victory to hold off on raising the debt ceiling.? See how that works in your private life. Reduce your income, cut your spending while costs continually increase around you, and even if you are completely out of debt see how long you last. See how it would work if you had a landlord that gave you a couple of months pass on rent so you could catch up and then you believing you didn't have to pay rent anymore.
Now I suppose your comprehension wouldn't catch that that's a metaphor and I'm not trying to say the government is a landlord.
As much as you'd like to it wouldn't matter, the government going under is not going to bod well for anyone in the country. And no it's not the way it works that any government is supposed to work for just one faction in the country.
I have had my wages cut and had to cut my spending and I am still in the same residence I was in 5 years ago when all this took place. How did that happen? I worked 2 jobs for a while to make it happen. Has it been easy? Nope. Worked very hard to make it happen. So save your better than thou lectures for someone who will be impressed by them SIB. When I talk about being self sufficient, it is because, for the most part, I have been all my life. When I talk about life not being fair, there is a reason for that that is truly none of your business. Life hands some of us lemons and we make lemonades and get up and move on. Life hands some people lemons and they become bitter, angry, and blame everyone and everything. I chose not to allow what happened to make me bitter and angry. It's about choices, we all have them. I chose to walk away from the Democrat party when one of their faithful informed me with her nose in the air that my entire problem was I was too "stupid to understand that I couldn't take care of myself and I needed them to tell me how to live." One last point...with what has happened to me in my life, your name calling, demeaning, and snottiness has no affect on me, so I would suggest you try your snottiness, better than thou attitude on someone else who might be impressed. I'm not easily impressed.

It was a metaphor Really, a metaphor. Well you got your applause from the peanut gallery for once again refusing to address the point.

But good on you. You have followed right along with the Bush mantra that it's the American way for people to work two or three or more jobs just to get by. You are a good lemming.

The point remains, and I KNOW you remember it,[you] saying Obama NEVER compromises on ANYTHING EVER and when it becomes obvious he does you praise it as a defeat for him.

But hey, you're not alone. Even Boehner does the same thing. Complains to the point of near tears Obama refuses to compromise and when Obama does he puffs up his chest doing the snoopy dance high fiveing everyone that he beat Obama.

That is exactly why even among the rational thinking right-wing the Teapublican Party has become irrelevant and can't be trusted with anything they say.

So seeing as you have made it all about you what would you suggest they be that the government get into other jobs to raise their revenue?

Actually, I was responding to you and your snotty "have your revenue reduced and the cost of everything going up" comment. It really gets your undies in a bunch when people refuse to fall in line with you and your better than thou thought process doesn't it?
Be careful what you wish for SIB, you just might get it. All you foolish progressives feel the need to wish for a one party system. And you think that would be the answer? Remember, the one party system that has happened in other country has led to death and extreme poverty for all but the elitists. Of course, you, John Kerry, Obama, etc., etc., won't care about that because you are in the elitists. Thus, the answer to the wish for a one party system from the progressives. Saw that coming.

The media left does want to help Obama create a one party dictatorship in America. If only those Tea Party types who carry the takers would go away......

I have no idea what you fabricated this notion from that progressives have been wishing for a one party system. Especially when it's been clear the Teapublicans have been doing everything they can to clog up the entire government until they get their way.

What I do know is once again you have managed to avoid the point by trying to distract it. I got my answer from it once again anyway.

Really? One person, from the left, okay I'll give you some leeway that there are more than just this one, SAY, give their opinion, the Constitution is no longer relevant and you go all crazy. But when the right-wing five on the Supreme Court rule corporations are people and money is speech you are suspiciously silent. You tell me where in the Constitution it say corporations/business are persons. Where in the Constitution points out money is speech. You raise no objection to that ruling making it legal to bribe our government officials, and prospective officials. BRIBE them! Do you get that?

I would much rather hear some give their opinion the Constitution is no longer relevant, that is after all an actual given protection under the Constitution....freedom of speech, than to have the Supreme Court rule AGAINST the Constitution that corporations, fictional entities, are persons, and money, a fabricated material, is speech. AT THAT step beyond their Constitutional separation of powers limitation(s) and legislate. Yet not a peep from you. Strongly indicating your approval because you are so loudly boisterous on what you don't approve of.

So save your disingenuous indignation for those in your own philosophical circle.

Always comes back to people working to prosper and improve quality of life...... There is a movement on the left to change the way we live...... 5 year olds getting suspended for playing cops and robbers and another building a Lego gun..... You really think this form of indoctrination is appropriate to change a generation...... What was wrong with the generation that sent man to the moon or developed the SR71? Oh, that's right, you want to cut defense spending...... Glad the Welfare generations are contributing so much......

That is one seriously f***ed up diversion from context. In what universe do you think that has anything to do with the Constitution?

But to humor you; You have no idea who you're talking to and making false accusations. I grew up playing war as a kid. I was hunting at age 12. I grew up with guns. My father fought in WWII. I am of the Vietnam War generation. I grew up under the "duck and cover" "training" for the threat of a nuclear war. I would look up and see the contrails from the SAC jets and reconnoissance planes based in the UP. At age twenty I watched a B-52 bomber fly down the railroad track line in GR 1500 feet off the deck on a training mission.

But here's something different that my generation, for the most part, was taught and we, for the most part, taught our kids but has totally been missed with your generation. The responsibility and restraint that goes with things that kill. That the worse person on the planet to be "allowed" to handle ANYTHING of a destructive nature is a gung-ho defense enthusiast. Because they will see the need for defense from EVERYTHING. Including responsibility and restraint. And in cases like yours especially responsibility and restraint.

You are just one more scared little minion of the fear based right-wing cranks.

To which you would say I am of the left-wing cranks. But even when I went to school we were NOT allowed to bring toy guns into school. We weren't even allowed to have a knife in school. We didn't have Legos but we weren't "allowed" to make guns out of clay. We weren't allowed to draw guns in art class. And no we weren't allowed to play cops and robbers at school. School just wasn't the place for those things. And you want to know what else? We didn't see anything wrong with that because we were taught there were times and places for some things and not for others. Something you never were taught apparently.
