Look, something needed to be done at some point to kickstart a change in our health care system. Insurance companies in bed with politicians, medical costs skyrocketing, an aging population, etc ... Healthcare was heading in a bad spiral. If anything good could be said about Obamacare it is that something sure as hell happened!

Unfortunately, a lot of what we are experiencing was predictable, despite Nancy Pelosi's clandestine "you have to pass it before you know what's inside" comment. We already knew what was inside would be the exact opposite of what we were being told.

So, whether you blame big bad business owners for their decisions to offer health insurance or not, 7 million will lose insurance thanks to Obamacare. You can't argue that fact.

I still go back to the common sense idea that a complete overhaul of the system was unneeded. There were good solutions that could have been passed by a bi-partisan congress.

Actually I get mine from knowing the IRS tax code, and not from some left wing liberal who will come up with stats using irrelevant information.

You don't understand that, in example, Halliburton was a U.S. company; on the verge of bankruptcy, when Cheney through Bush contracted with them for the war in Iraq. They became one of the worlds largest companies and then moved their corporate headquarters to Dubai yet they are still a U.S. incorporated corporation? Therefore in affect they are not doing their business in the U.S. but with the U.S. not being subject to the U.S. tax code.
I'm not in the process of writing the laws here. To present possible solutions is different from promulgating them as the solution.
For your needs to make everyone else seem the fool there is no point in any further discussion.
Welcome to the right-wing of Congress.
Like I said, the system is not perfect, I would agree that large corporations have the ability to rig the system in their favor. There should be more clearly defined rules about how to determine US vs. foreign income. The dems however want you to believe that corporations are getting paid from the government to do business overseas, and that is simply not true.

Look you a full of spin ... your global income b.s. is spin, a total crock of shit. You don't know anything except what your read in right wing propaganda and hear on Faux News. So why don't you just shut up and leave it to the real experts. Corporations, particularly multi-nationals have been raping the system for 4 decades getting richer while everyone else has gotten poorer. And that's a Fact. Show me that its not or like I said, just shut the hell up. Anybody on here who knows anything about this really is sick of hearing your blabber. There's enough out there on the web to support this that even you could find but you're problem is you think you already know everything.

Your "global income' baloney comes out of the same hole where 'its a global economy, you better get used to it' came from which we've been hearing from corporations, their lobbyists, the politicians they paid for, for the last 45 years. They've been running this country into the ground every since while dummies like you chomp on it hook, line and sinker.

Have never used food stamps but I bet you do. You can't even open your big mouth on Topix without disguising your true ISP location. Who's the fraud and scammer? Guys like you love the internet because they can spout off about stuff, lie, make a lot fuss, only post garbage and all sorts of other crap that's not true they see or read on Faux news or right wing crazy websites, spin everything they have an opinion about, then hide behind their anonymity. Its the new way to make themselves feel big and important.

The government "paying" business to do business overseas? If you truly are as smart as you say you are then you're word-smithing. The tax code DOES give business tax breaks and credits for shutting down business here and moving it overseas. It even gives them tax breaks for bringing foreign employees here so they will work for less than Americans.

It must be when you're reading the tax code it's telling you how large corporations manipulate and manuvere it to their advantage in ways no small business can because they don't have the finances behind them to be able to do it.

You won't believe me and you won't read so what's the use.

I suppose you could show me where in the IRS code these tax breaks are. I can't because my code only contains actual laws and not ones made up.

That proves you are a fraud Chip. I knew you'd step in it at some point.

As a CPA, MBA, but not a BS, you should know it comes from the code allowing for deductions for any cost of doing business. It's not a special incentive for moving business overseas. It's among the PRIMARY deductions allowed business that a just tax preparer for small business would know.

A real CPA MBA would know that. And with your ego it would have been included in your barrage of insults trying to make everyone else out to be the stupid ones.

Hey moron I got news for you, deducting ordinary business expenses is 100% NOT a tax break or incentive you worthless piece of trash.

What a sad pathetic looser you are that you resort to this when I challenge you on something and you know you are wrong.

And you act like that when you are shown you are wrong. You play the semantics game. Classic.

So which is it you still have to pay taxes on? A tax deduction or tax break?

In simpler terms: which isn't subtracted from the gross reducing the net tax liability.

A tax break is a reduction in the actual tax liability owed after net income is determined. That's why they call it a tax "break" A deduction is used to determine net income.

If you want to refer to deductions as some sort of special tax break, wouldn't that apply to every single expense of the company? I guess using you and the liberal logic I would suggest we start saying companies get tax breaks for _____ fill in the blank for anything under the sun that you want to suit your argument. Don't worry it doesn't make any sense, doesn't really matter the liberal voters are too stupid to look any further anyway.
