I SO wish I had kept my 19651/2 fastback GT 2+2. I sold it in 1971 and regret to this day.
Almost forgot...i feel your pain, especially because we could buy them for so cheap back then....in 1969, i fell asleep driving 66 Mustang Coupe($1200, 2 years old from a teacher, really) to my grams in Michigan....drove right off into the woods, outside Chesterton, Indiana....totaled it...only good thing, never nodded off driving again...lol...

I don't remember the red white and blue paint job. All the rest of them I do.

I so enjoyed leaving behind GTOs trying to figure out where that Mustang went.

And John Kerry married into money, Ted Kennedy hid his offshore and bragged about it, and just in December, Al Gore sold his TV channel so he could avoid the capital gains increase. As I said, both sides are doing it and unfortunately, they are winning because we sit and argue about who did it first and who does it the most. Greed and immorality...good bedfellows.

And so just what the expletive deleted does that have to do with anything. The statement was "Geez SIB I thought you were intelligent enough to know that there is no difference between rich liberals and rich conservatives except this one fact, most rich conservatives worked for it and most rich liberals inherited it and don't know what its like to work for a living. They just spend there time dodging taxes and fees."
Notice the "except one fact" and what follows. And very clearly STATING only conservatives know how to work for it.

And liberals spend their time dodging taxes and fees? Really? And who's making the big stink over taxes being returned to where they were when the tax cuts were made and clearly stated to be TEMPORARY?

ALL working Americans are upset by the tax increase that YOU said is not a tax increase. When the net pay (take home pay) is less because of the difference in taxes, it's a tax increase. Just because you don't care doesn't mean the rest of us don't. Besides, for someone who feels so "bad" for the middle class, I would think you would be one of those hollering because now the middle class has even less disposable income. Think these things won't hurt the economy? Just watch in the coming months. And you can bet I will be amongst the first to say "I told you so" when the economy continues to contract and more jobs are lost by those evil greedy business owners.

You just keep shugeling up to the notion that it's the government causing this trouble. While the 25% that controls 75% of the national economy runs right over you.
Think this country is the best on the planet?

Lets get rid of ALL the taxes on business and it won't make a lick of difference. I'd like to see that done just so most people could see it first hand without having to use their brains. And not having to be bothered looking at the history of it happening.
The large corporations will still run over the small businesses like a monster truck over a Civic.

Yes I blame the Government. But for allowing itself to be bought by big wealth concerns. But then you should be able to understand that as you, and you're by far not alone, are so enamored with the wealthiest.

Take your government is the source of all our ills pill and sleep well.

Your inferences are amusing, to say the least. You are part of the "big wealth concerns", but you won't admit it. You are an elitist that is bound and determined that everyone who doesn't agree with you must be enamored with the wealthiest. In all actuality, SIB, I don't personally care how much money, property, or anything else anyone other than myself has now or has ever had. I don't suffer from the class envy that you and other elitists whine about on a daily basis. I also don't envy someone who is rich as I see that has its own set of burdens. That, in all truthfulness, is the major difference between you and I. I could care less how much money, education, how many homes, grandchildren, or who in the world your ancestors were. I don't answer to you or for you. I only answer for myself. Once again, who you are and what you have means nothing to me. You don't appear to be a very happy person and for that I pity you. Life is about more than things, money, and background.

Seriously I don't know what to say to you. If you were looking at a car to buy at a dealership and the salesman told you not to buy it because it was a wreck waiting to happen and you were stuck on that model you should go buy it from somewhere else you wouldn't listen? Or if you went other places and what they had weren't the color scheme you wanted but the first one was, would you go back and buy that car anyway?

If I'm the elitist you say I am why would I bash my own "class"? I must have some kind of a subversive reason, huh.

Like I said, I don't know what to say to you. I've pointed you in every direction I can think of. It's your choice.

Anyone out here who argues on the federal governments behalf is either a beneficial recipient of federal tax dollars or a federal government hack.

Too late now for any reconciliation. The fed has to die and be rebuilt from the ground up. We do need to begin again.

This is why I pity you. You think because YOU tell me that I am wrong and that the corporate world is "bad for me" or "an accident waiting to happen", that I should just accept your word and believe the sky is falling and the progressives are the only answer to this country's problems. I was taught to investigate, draw my own conclusions, stand for something and know WHY I stand for something. I don't agree with everything the Republicans do and I don't believe everything the Democrats do is wrong. You can't stand that so you think I don't know anything. Frankly, SIB, that's YOUR problem, not mine.

How is it I'm expecting you to accept it simply because I said it? I'm the one providing the citations for what I'm saying. I'm the one backing up what I say. You? You are the one expecting me to accept what you say simply because you say.

We have nothing else to say.

When my son was in grade school he got detention for fighting. I questioned him thoroughly on what happened. I then went to the principle to get her side of it. As it turned out my son was truthful. He got hit first. He did everything he could to avoid the fight by just walking away more than once. When that didn't work he turned around a beat the crap out of the other kid. The principle said it doesn't matter who threw the first punch, fighting isn't allowed.

I told her my son did everything correctly to avoid the fight and when that doesn't work he has every right to defend himself without reprisal. I told her that now the "fight" was between her and myself. My son didn't have detention any more.

The moral of the story is, and this is no parable for you to figure out, "you" are morally and ethically vacant when not making every attempt to discover the true cause of something.

Good luck with your vigilante form of "fixing" the problem. But I'm willing to bet the only part you would have in it is in the spectators seats cheering on "your side".

Then your reading skills have left you because I posted citations and sources for what I posted, and to quote you, "I just don't have the time to go back over that again and again." You didn't like my sources, which the the government, by the way, so you disparaged and ignored them and then get your undies in a bunch when I laugh at your progressive think tank sources. Whatever.

Exactly what I'd expect from a transient like yourself. It may suit you to know that things are being done on many levels right now, not that you'll benefit from any of it, but I guess I can say I told you. I told you....

You are the liberal hack I was talking about. I would also suggest that you SERIOUSLY study your history books. Mankind has never won freedom through discussion. Discussion only prolonged the inevitable. Look, don't take my word for it at all! I guess proof is in the pudding hey? This country is going to war (not by my wish) but by the Soviets who installed these DC dwellers long ago. Now, I just gave you a big piece of the puzzle. Please shut up now.

To quote you, "I have done this many times before and I am too busy to do it again." I posted them well over a year ago SIB on another thread where we were discussing basically the same issues. Not to disrespect you, but do your own homework with something besides think tanks and liberal/progressive blogs and you might be surprised at what you find. I used the Social Security Website and the History of Social Security website.
