Don't you think that by next spring, it'll be close to $5.00/gal? Guess my plan to eat my horse to help with food cost is gone now. Just kidding!!

These outragous gas prices have definetly slowed my husband and I down from visiting my family in Grand Rapids. As a matter of fact, this past weekend we visited and made a stop to Sam's Club to get our 3 month old stocked up on formula and diapers. We are concerned about the gas prices dipping into our grocery money.

I think people need to realize that gas still is a commodity. I find it funny that I hear people complaining about gas prices and how they donít know how they will be able to afford it. Yet every time I drive anywhere, almost every car I see on the road there is only one person in the vehicle. I find it funny that we have been told that gas prices are going to continue to go up for the past 5 Ė 6 years. Yet a vast majority of the vehicles you see on the road get less than 20 MPG. People need to stop thinking about gas as a need and remember that it is still a want.
There are many ways to stop our addiction to oil if we really want to. But it is up to the individual to say when. For me I am ok with spending $4.00 a gallon, I am ok with spending $8.00 a gallon, I donít want to, but for me it beats walking. I am happy that we still live in a capitalist country.

Funny how we adjust our perceptions. When gas is at $3.76 per gallon we can't afford it. When it goes to $3.99 we suddenly wish we would have filled up at $3.76.

Try that price by July 4th. At the current rate of 15 - 20 cents each week, it won't take long.

Exactly, they will be complaining now but on July 4th weekend when it's $4.59 they'll be wishing it was $3.99. Get over it people you need it so you will buy it, adjust your lifestyle if it's that big of a deal.

Couldn't of said it better myself. Way to go! I'm with you no matter the price I'm still driving, might have to work a little harder or longer but o well.

Why is it no one complains about paying $1.49 for a bottle of water or a $1.25 for a 20 ounce Coke? If we put Coke in our gas tanks we'd be paying $8.00 a gallon!

we always hear about how americans are so overweight...maybe this is the way they are trying to "force" everyone to slim down? By walking or riding a bike?
Unless it does the opposite and makes everyone sit in front of the tv! lol

I agree with Tim, people need to think a little more about wast, supply and demand. We have been the worlds leader in "Throw away Society" and "bigger is better" for years. Now we are paying for our way of life, just how can a country justify using over sixty percent of the worlds supply of oil when we are less then forty percent of the worlds population. It is wake up time, and these prices will never go down to where we would like them.
We really need to look at alternative fuel and change our way of life, more then one person in a car, and better mpg and SLOW DOWN!

I will make sure my kids write a letter to Bush tonight and tell him what a great job he is doing!! They used to be able to play sports and eat healthy food.

OH GWB, YOUR LEGACY WILL BE LIKE NO OTHER. They will be laughing at you for centuries to come.

No, we will be sitting at home and the businesses will be complaining because we are not spending any money.
