I think children should not recieve gifts and people should just think of the soldiers that are fighting this war and how you should be sending gifts to their families STOP BEING SO SELFESS

I would hope that you arent serious....

That being said, if you indeed are, I have to ask what you do every single day to devote your time toa soldier &/or his family? How are you to know that we dont already do this?

If you are so pro-soldier that you would suggest willfully neglecting one's own family... why arent you over there fighting with them shoulder to shoulder?

Once again Thank you all for the wonderful idea's. She Devil- my youngest son who is 7 is my tool guy. I did buy him a tool box this year. He loves to be in the garage and help fix my husband racecar. He is 7 and he already knows how to take apart a engine. My two boys share a room and their room is decorated in an old car theme right down to the head board which is made out of the back seat of old cars. Once again Thank you so much for the wonderful ideas. It bought me back to some of the things I had when I was younger.
you could also get him those toy model car sets. Where they have to put the cars together. I always liked doing that in my pre-teen and teen years.

You must not be a mom yet?

If so, I feel sorry for your kids.. they have no clue why they don't receive gifts.

I do think of all the soldiers over seas and here at home. I too, have family over there and in other area's. My kids school help make christmas gift boxes for all the local soldiers over seas. We also send them phone cards, food, and books to read. I am a very giving person who don't mind helping out good causes. But my child deserve stuff also. Giving begins at home the saying goes. I just can't stand the people who talk big and bad about you should give blah, blah blah. But they don't pratice what they say. So before you down on me for wanting to give my children a wonderful christmas this year look at yourself. I wasn't able to give them a wonderful christmas last year do to way to much medical problems and bills. And let me tell you all those wonderful charity I gave to in the pass couldn't help me because my husband and I make to much. Even through all our money went towards bill and my medical. So have a wonderful Christmas and don't worry about other doing just yourself.

Because I live on welfare and do not need to work as I am disabled and my children are not recieving any gifts they will all be donated to charity
