If it weren't for empty arguments you'd have none at all.
The People have to rise up in unison for the representatives on both sides to hear them over the lobbyists. And do so with solutions not just gripes.
Like institute a national tax on ALL voting age citizens of, say,$5 or maybe even $10 per year to be lock boxed for campaign funding. While making it illegal for all candidates to accept campaign financing from any other source under penalty of fines and imprisonment. I can pretty much guarantee you all private sector media companies will adjust their campaigning charges to capture the money available.
Re-institute rational national campaign PSA policies, or laws if necessary.
Make it illegal for campaigners to lie and/or knowingly distort the the position(s) of opposing campaigners.
Or something rationally similar to the above.
It wouldn't take long for the states to adopt the same campaign regulations. OR, begin at the state level and it will filter up. Though it would take much longer on a state by state to filter up to the federal level.
Try coming up with some solutions rather than griping about being fair isn't being fair.
I've proposed solutions, but since you think you are smarter than anyone on these boards, you poo poo whatever I come up with. And I don't gripe about fairness, I leave that to you and the other progressives who have a love affair going with "fair" but can't define what is fair. I learned a long time ago that whining about fairness is counterproductive. Oh that you had learned that along with all the other "knowledge" you have acquired in your 100 year life.

We were thinking maybe you could as when McCain was running in 08 he said he was going to make Hagel a member of his cabinet. Now all of a sudden he's not any good because Obama has nominated him? Classic.

More like because Mr. Hagel can't decide where he stands on issues. Classic indeed. He's like McCain AND Obama.

According to your definition of freely. Like misinforming and dis-informing and hiding pertinent information from the electorate, and manipulating voter participation. huh... kinda sounds like the Republicans here.

Wow, did John McCain look like a bitter old guy, caught in a trap on, Meet the Press...when they showed a clip of him praising Chuck Hagel as a possible Sec. of Defense in 2002....and promoting him as a possible Sec. of Defense in 2006....how ironic.....

McCain, the moderate, finally saw the error of his ways when he found Hagel as the loon that he is.......
