Review: MR. Plumber

Received a postcard in the mail stating that they did backwater device testing that is required by the city of GR and they charged $39.95. Since they were one of the more affordable, my husband called to set up the appointment. Today they came and instead of filling out the required form that they had been left, they took their check, and left us with a near $300 estimate for parts and repair with absolutely no explanation to either. Now we are being faced with having our water shut off next week, and I am out $40 for a service that was never completed. I filed a complaint with the BBB today. I will be calling another plumber for a second opinion. VERY disappointed.

You get what you pay for in life.

Same for me.
What a rip-off. The guy that came out to test sprinkler backflow device ($39.95),appeared to not have a clue. He said it failed and quickly produced a quote for almost $400 to replace.
So, I did what I should have done in the 1st place, contact Kentwood P & H. They came out the next week and quickly discovered that the test point fittings were bad. They replaced (~$25) and the system tested fine.
DO NOT use MR. Plumber. Shame on Grand Rapids City for recommending.
