Really! Is that what that means? You took a great deal amount of time researching 'cuss words'. That means you were busy trying to justify your remarks. Cuts both ways. Ass is not a cuss word ..it has a legitimate meaning...donkey. Bitch is also a legitimate word meaning female dog. It's how you interpret it that gets sticky. BTW those are the only two words I have used on this thread which hardly qualifies as me as a foul mouth...you are very naive.
And.....as for this one.....quote "Guess if it makes you feel better about yourself to cut someone else down, go right ahead"
Well, what can anyone say....cutting down people who like to display bumper stickers doesn't fit into that category according to you? You are a piece of work....
You literally have no logic. I claimed that you were trying to justify your potty mouth. Then, you claimed I was 'researching' trying to justify my remarks? What's there for me to justify? The definition of the word 'cuss?' Seems to me YOU are the one needing the justification, not me. I just told you what the definition of the word is, that's all. I'm not the one with the potty mouth. What's funny to me, is that you started your whole thread on here telling me that I'm judgmental and bitter, and attacking people. Now, all you've done for the last several pages is use cuss words, call me names, and basically tell me that I'm an idiot.

Takes a great mind to do that. You are highly intelligent.

"Now, all you've done for the last several ;pages is use cuss words, call mr names and basically tell me that I'm an idiot". I think you exaggerate just a tad. I used the word A@@hole and bitch once. You quickly jumped on it to degrade me for my making fun of your ridiculous rant on bumper stickers. If you came to the conclusion that I think you are an idiot, well so be it. You are still trying to undermine my intelligence with every chance you can grab. I't ain't working. But, keep trying, it amuses me.
I can say one thing for sure......I am certainly fortunate not to have a neighbor such as yourself. Bumper stickers, indeed.

That sounds like a broken record, Bikola. If you are going to change user names at least use original language.

There is a substantial gap between having and doing. I think it is appropriate to be proud of your accomplishments. I would speculate that most of the negative comments here are from those that have never inveseted the time to complete a marathon, a century, a triathalon, or other similar events.

That said, if i want to put a huge i ate a cheeseburger sticker on my car who are you to judge that. If i think it is an accomplishment why not share. For those comparing to vacations, isnt it the same to wear the t-shirt back at home? How is a disney t-shirt any different from an accomplishment sticker?

Get off the couch, do something you enjoy, and tell the world about it if you wish. Fortunately, i dont live my life to please or impress others. The sticker is just sharing a personal hobby with the world. If you don't have anything to tell the world about (even if most of the world doesnt care), i pity you.

No one is saying you can't put one of those ridiculous stickers on your car. That's your constitutional right to look ridiculous. Next time why don't you "tri" a little humility instead. Should everyone list their personal accomplishments for everyone to see? Why not put a sign on your front lawn or rent a billboard on your local freeway saying "look how great I am." That might be more effective. Plenty of people get off their couch and do their personal hobbies and achievements without any fanfare. Stop being so judgmental of others just for choosing not to trumpet their own self-glorification everywhere.

Exactly. And when most of the planet has the same stickers on their car, doesn't it sort of defeat the point of putting that sticker on your car.

Fred is exactly right. You have a constitutional right to do whatever the heck you want. But, it's sort of silly to put a sticker on your car when everyone and their mother has the same one. It actually doesn't separate you from the pack at all - it just makes you look like a follower. Don't expect a pat on the back from me, just because you put the sticker on your car. How do you presume to know if I do or don't do a "tri?" I might do one every weekend. However, I don't feel the need for a pat on the back from strangers in a parking lot because I did one. Is that what people are looking for?

In other words, if you think the stickers are such a great idea, tell me what would be the main point in putting one on your car? Besides gaining attention, and being motivated by self-glorification, what's the point?

I would disagree. You said you want to 'share your personal hobby with the world." Isn't that trying to impress others? What's the point of sharing that you did any of that, if it's not to impress upon others your greatness? Are you trying to persuade someone to do it to? Tell me, what's the point? By "sharing"..what do you mean?

You want to say, "Look at me, look what I did." Otherwise, what's the point in 'sharing' with the world? And, who ever said that it's necessary to share every personal asepct of my life with the 'world?' Define that audience for me.

I just started noticing these oval stickers. They are not just for vacations spots. I could not figure out what BDK was. BDK stands for Brown Daub Kia, a local car dealership. I was stumped for a few days until I walked up to one. I must admit it's good marketing!

Since when is it a "personal triumph" to go to a vacation on Hilton Head or Destin, FL? That is a triumph that we have to 'celebrate' with a sticker on our vehicle? And, is it really a "personal triumph" to do a 5K, 13.1 or 26.2 when everyone and their mother does the same thing? It's not sour grapes at all. I took two vacations this year, and I don't see the need to put a sticker on my car to let people know where I vacationed! What does that teach our kids? "Look at me! I'm better than you!"
And we wonder why the public schools are such a mess, and there is bullying. It's all a big contest and competition and I'm sick of it.
What about the homeless child? Or, the family on public assistance? Why can't we celebrate their personal triumphs? Shouldn't we give them some stickers to celebrate when they get off of food stamps? I'd much rather see that, than the idiotic HHI stickers on every car in town.
Of course, the people putting all these stickers on their car are just the type to not care about the less fortunate. If they did, they'd probably put a sticker on their car so that everyone would notice that they did something nice for someone else.
It's all just EGO and self-absorption at a monumental level.
You're wasting hours of your life writing pages of screed denouncing other people for how they decorate their cars... and you're calling THEM judgmental?

Why is everyone so angry. Maybe if you'd spend more time minding your own business, and less time complaining that people do things that annoy you,(because obviously, you've never offended anyone, and you're perfect, and your opinions on life are gold) then maybe you wouldn't be freaking out over something someone else considers important in THEIR life. Who are you to belittle another person's accomplishments simply because it does not coincide with your own, or because it's something YOU find trivial?
Quit being a bully, and find something that MOVES you enough to be proud of. It's not your car, You're not paying taxes on it. You're not filling it with gas, and you're not making the payments. So mind your business. Jeeze.

I have a 13.1 and a 26.2 sticker on my car. My marathon is by far the biggest achievement of my life. It is something I never thought I could do, but I did it anyways. The sticker isn't on my car to brag about my achievement. It is on there because I am proud of myself. Only a handful of people can say they have run a full marathon. It sounds like you are all just jealous of the people who can run that far. Why is it such a big deal? There are more important issues in this world than what kind of stickers people put on their car.

I think all bumper stickers should be banned. They are very drah ot daer. Also - if they are going to be allowed they should be in Spanish as well so as not to discriminate.
