I absolutely think that running a marathon is a personal triumph. I can't run 500 feet! That is tough, and it is no big deal to be proud of that accomplishment. Just like kids should be allowed pride in their grades, and their athletic/extra-curricular achievements.
You say it's not sour grapes, in the same sentence as telling me how many vacations you took...didn't they have stickers where you went? If it really doesn't matter-then behave as if it really doesn't matter.
I am all about people celebrating the good things in their life, just like rising above adversity and getting off food stamps would be a great achievement for someone-it wouldn't bother me if someone would like to broadcast that. More power to 'em. I listen to Dave Ramsey sometimes, and people call up to talk about getting themselves out of debt...do you consider that egotistical as well? Any less egotistical than posting the number of vacations you take a year on Topix?
Thank you, Strong Woman! I'm not even reading past your post because you pretty much nailed it dead. People work damn hard to get themselves in shape. They work damn hard to pay for a vacation for that matter. Not only are some pathetic people envious to the point of begging the government to steal others' wealth, but now they want to tell them what they can and can't take pride in. What the hell!?
The spirit of competition and satisfaction in personal achievement develops over-achievers and inspires others to achieve their own goals. Rather than trying to better themselves it's apparent that some here would rather bring others down to their level so they don't feel the need to work at all. Exactly how do these people think they'll continue to live in the comfort America offers if all of it's people are fat, dumb and lazy?

Aaaahhhhh! More of your ass u ming.... You are really proficient at that. As for the sticker that reads 'keep your pants zipped up' I sorta of agree about that one, except for the god-given libido most normal folks have. Notice I said 'normal'. Where are you in that spectrum?

As for people putting stickers on their cars....well, it is sort of a personal choice. Just as the make, model and color of their car as their personal choices. If you hate red cars will you start carrying on about? And, actually the make and model of our cars speak much louder than any bumper sticker. Americans use their cars as status symbols...a marker of their success in life. Doesn't it just p#ss you off when someone else is driving a better ride than yours?

That's hilarious because I've never been overweight a day in my life, and I'm fit.
I'm not upset about the sticker; I'm upset that so many people feel the need to shout out about themselves.
Now, if this Isn't one hilarious post don't know what is. First we tell the world how fit we are then we voice our opinion about others that do the. Classic!

First, you need to get spell check. Most of your posts are illegible because they're written improperly.

Second, I thought the point of this Forum was to voice our opinion. So now, you're lambasting me for voicing my opinion about stickers, or abortion, or whatever - when this is exactly the "forum" on which I should? Seriously?

At least I don't put stickers on my car to "voice" my opinion.

I guess you could paint your car black, take off the make and model emblems and make sure any chrome is painted over like some Mennonites sects have to.

Your suggestion about spell check is noted. Your posts are easy enough to read. They're just hard to digest.

The thing is this...you have an opinion but don't seem to want to allow others theirs. When the going gets sticky you simply start lashing out with the character assassination. That does not affect the opponent much but it does reflect on you.

As for your bumper sticker opinions... well, I find them entertaining and more than a little revealing about your character. Interesting! Wouldn't it great if MDOT made everyone to take and IQ test as a requirement for a license? Then everyone should be required to display the result in large numbers in their rear windows. That way we would all be given the chance to avoid the a@@holes drivers of the world. Maybe then you might have reason to bitch.

To your first comment: you are not only incorrect but unable to read apparently. You can look back on this thread, and read where I've indicated that though I disagree with certain people, I enjoyed the debate with people who make RATIONAL and well thought out arguments. You do not fit into that category, so then you say that I'm lashing out.
Second, you claim that my opinions are 'revealing about my character.' Really? Then, yours are even MORE telling, as you've taken every opportunity to use cuss words here, when I have not. So, what does that say about your character? Or, maybe it's just your lack of intellect. Perhaps you aren't smart enough to express yourself without the use of cuss words. Can't think of anything else to say, so why not say "a-*******" and "b****" and anything else offensive.

First of all A@@hole and bitch are not cuss words. Cuss words are using the Lord's name in vain. A##hole and bitch are considered vulgar. There's your lesson for today. I certainly commend you for exhibiting your sterling character by refraining from using 'cuss words'. But somehow a well-placed expletive can emphasize and point and to accurately describe an opinion of the person in question. I believe my adjectives worked quite well.
Now, Just because you kept cuss words out of your posts does not make you any less odious. You have many issues it seems. May I offer a tiny suggestion. When you are driving why not keep your eyes off bumpers and on the road...seems like such a simple way to keep yourself from being annoyed.
