Doesn't really matter, but it doesn't turn to Wyoming until your by where Damons use to be. My son works just east of Ivanrest on Spartan Industrial Dr and the is still concidered Grandville.

I wonder what was up with this guy. I know I almost called my son to make sure he was ok, because all I heard was that it was a male driver, but TV8 reported earlier that the man was like 33 or something like that. I just can't figure out why people do stupid things.

I drive 44th through that area almost daily and it just amazes me how fast people drive through there. Well pretty much everywhere people are in such a hurry to get to an early grave or something.

I'm pretty sure that I know who this person is, and according to the news this morning, they said that he had a history of epilepsy and seizures, and that he had undergone brain surgery that allowed him to drive. We can't always assume that he was being stupid or reckless.

This was in Wyoming. No debate. Grandville ends at the 2800 block going east/west.

STUPID THINGS????? WHAT IF HE HAD A SEIZURE, OR A HEART ATTACK OR SOME OTHER MEDICAL PROBLEM THAT CAUSED THIS????? WOULD THAT BE A STUPID THING???? Man, lately people just have NO compassion for families who are losing loved ones to tragic situations.

I agree with you on this one EmmaRae....people are more concerned about what caused it or what fricken city it is considered than the fact that someone died.

Wow,

Emma's comment was made BEFORE the name and medical history was released. How was she to know that it could have been a medical condition?

And some of the fatal accidents this past summer WERE from stupid things.

Sorry if I offended you and yes it could have been any of the things you mentioned. All I know is what I read, which was. The car was speeding, an officer went to pull him over, when he abruptly switched lanes lost controll and hit a tree.

Believe me I have plenty of compassion for the families.

I think it's sad that this happened - but at the same time this should be a wake up call for those many drivers in the area who feel the need to have to go 70mph down every road in this town. You need to SLOW DOWN, learn some time management skills so that you are not in such a yank to get to a location on time. Not to mention you are paying more at the pump for your careless driving techniques.

Nothing irritates me more than irresponsible people behind the wheel.

I am sorry to the family. Sometimes bad things just happen. It could be a wake up call for folks with medical issues that could affect driving. On the other hand, sometimes sad bad lousy things just happen. My prayers and sympathy to all involved.

I understand that Neecer, but still uncalled for statement. If you don't know the facts, shouldn't assume. We all know what happens when we assume.

Should've read this before I responded to Neecer....I do apologize. Just a little upset after reading all the unnecessary, awful comments made about the young man that was hit by a car in Cannon Twp. Absolutely not compassion shown there.
