If the state supreme court can remove a judge that was elected by an overwhelming majority; do we really still live in a democracy? Did we ever? Can the US supreme court remove Obama from office? How about Granholm? This whole situation is crazy. Judge Servaas is an excellent judge.

And he will continue to hold that seat because he is a 'Good' and 'Fair' judge! Great Job Judge Servaas!! Keep up the great work and good luck on your hearing.

"Good Judge" "Fair Judge" are we thinking of the same man?! This "judge" allowed someone to press charges against my husband when the alleged victim not only caused a traffic accident...but also tried to beat my husband to a pulp when he got out to get insurance information from the d-bag. Judge Servaas not only dropped the charges against my husband (who didn't do anything except get hit by a stupid driver and then a black eye and bruised ribs), but he also dropped the charges against the d-bag...even the ticket for causing the accident in the first place! The police officer was speechless... I hope Servaas gets removed!!!

as usual in this case! Leave Judge Servaas on the bench! He is a decent and fair man, being bombarded by nothing more than a bunch of nonesense!
That goof from the tenure commision should be fired immediately for intimidation tactics on Servaas!

This whole thing smelled bad from the start. It looked pretty obvious that Servaas was getting railroaded.

Finally someone skewered that Fisher today. Both Young and Weaver gave him a real hard time about that first interview. The recent election really has to give the Supremes pause. I am betting that after all this he gets a reprimand for the UoM sweat shirt crack and that is it.

That's just it, they haven't found anything that he is guilty of.

I am confused, the Judge moved outside his district, it really is that simple.

Hasn't the Judge heard about the rule of law? Let alone his sexist conduct.

It was quite apparent from the get-go that Judge Servaas got the wrong of the stick on this one. However, the election showed that even given all that the judge has gone through, the community supports him.

As for the JTC, I hope Mr. Fisher is put through the ringer with the same treatment he has provided Judge Servaas.

It will all come out in the laundry, I'm sure.

Any thoughts on the weight that will pull with the Supremes?

Fisher is toast based on what I saw from the Supremes yesterday. I suspect that the Commission is going to have some major personnel changes also since they were downright rude at the hearing to Sevraas and his attorneys also. It had to be a hint to Fisher when his motions to remove him NOW over the residency issue were denied repeatedly. The other problem is that he moved back and was re elected so even if just moving back did not solve the issue getting elected again sure should have. Now Fisher argues that the election was invalid because he should not have been on there as an incumbent, smells of desperation to me.

What is interesting is that they showed three justices grilling Fisher, a right wing conservative, a more moderate GOP and a Dem. That is a very bad sign. I wonder if Fisher was counting on help from Cliff Taylor and he lost his guardian angel on the court.

I am also very concerned that this whole thing was inspired by the courthouse issue because it just does not make sense that they would engage in this Gestapo type attack against a 30 year judge. I still suspect that the County Administration has a hand in this and has been pulling strings behind the scenes. It could be that this whole thing blows up in their face since Taylor is not there anymore to do their bidding like the good GOP lack that he always was. Just speculating of course trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

One other thought, Fisher had to know he was in for a butt kicking on that interview. Why in the world didn't have stay home and have someone else handle the argument. I suppose it showed guts to go get his lashing but it sure did not help his case, it was like waving a red flag at the Supremes.
