Many, many years ago, i jackknifed a GMC Astro with an empty(thank God)45' trailer on I-94 in Sawyer, Michigan....42 below wind chill....black ice is very hard to tell from the pavement.....very hard to stop, once it starts.....lucky i was the only one that got scratched up.....

Blue, my husband is a truck driver, and I worry about him in these weather conditions. He is a very safe driver, and comes home telling me stories all the time about the car drivers out there. Many don't respect the truckers and think they can stop on a dime. Nope doesn't work that way. He was in a huge white out in Muskegon many years ago and got caught in the middle of a big pile up. He missed a week of work because his chest hit the steering wheel. He just missed the mess in Detroit yesterday as he was heading toward Toledo he took a different route. and he hates 94.

Sassy, i sure hope your husband stay's safe.....i drove outta Vicksburg..mostly to Cleveland, Chicago and Big Rapids....he has likely told you, another problem sometimes is staying awake, as some trips are like 9-12 hours roundtrip, when you add in unloading and all....The company i worked for did'nt take good care of their equipment, another problem that occurs.....

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
