Funny how these people think their free speech rights are being violated.

I wonder if they realize that the First Amendment doesn't apply to private entities that just do not want to air their bigotry?

Probably not.

If they want to buy air-time, they can go ahead and buy it - just like infomercials. And they need to know that there will be a disclaimer that says "does not represent the views of this station". And be prepared for whatever time they can get squeezed in between all the other infomercials.

Why would any profit minded station bump it's prime-time lineup for something that'll probably piss their viewers off? And have to endure the wrath of the fans - pre-emption is not a good idea with some shows.

I see christian ads all the time on TV - various Christian denominations advertise regularly, the mormons have some very nice ads, here in MN there's even a ad for small business services from the local cable company that features how those services helped a small congregation that meets in a local movie theater on sundays for services. How often do we get those Christian rock album ads, with all the people jumping around with their arms in the air.

And if a station doesn't want to sell them their time, then that's the station exercising its own free speech rights.

They know airing this tripe would be bad for business.

Isn't there a Christian only TV station on the air around here? Channel 51 or 54 maybe?

I can't believe the lies. They are getting desperate because they feel they are losing control over the lives of people they have no business trying to control in the first place.

The way the world is now it probably wouldn't do much good to air it anyways. The liberals and gays are getting close to running the country now and have made inroads into brainwashing the youth that perversities like homosexuality are normal. Tolerance and being politically correct is running this country to hell.
It's pretty clear you never missed a brainwashing session. How many years have you been subjected to the lies and how many times did they have to tell you "DON'T THINK FOR YOURSELF...WE WILL DO IT FOR YOU"?

So what happens when this administration reinstates the Fairness Doctrine? Pelosi is on record saying she supports it. They want to force Conservative radio to present opposite opinions, but how will this apply to religious issues?

I suppose you think INTOLERANCE is the best way to run this country? We just went through eight years of that, and where did it get us? And what groups do you want to be intolerant of, aside from gays?

I disagree with Pelosi on that. Let the market decide. If people are actually dumb enough to think Michael Savage has something to say that is worth listening to, well good for them. Social Darwinism will catch up with them eventually.

Misunderstanding of the First Amendment is not limited to wacko fundamentalists, they just seem to suffer from it more often.

At least Christians can see and have seen this agenda for what it is and has been for years....I posted on the book about this by Kuepelian *spelling....a while back.
But close your eyes (& mind) to it you are the easily led sheep.
Unbelievable how easy you guys are to fall for it and still don't see it when it is "in your face"!
:)
poor lost sheep.
Thanks for the link by the way, I hadn't even heard of this yet, but now have emailed my local stations, Pastor and church friends, and for the first time will scrape together some cash to send to a group.

What are you ranting about? I asked the following 2 questions, which you did not answer.

suppose you think INTOLERANCE is the best way to run this country? We just went through eight years of that, and where did it get us? And what groups do you want to be intolerant of, aside from gays?

YOU are the one who said tolerance was not a good thing. I am just asking why intolerance IS.

Diverting the conversation is not answering the question.

Just for the record, I am not a "liberal" on all issues. Some yes, some no.

Unfortunately there is not much of a "market" in broadcasting - stations are concentrated in fewer and fewer (and mostly Conservative)hands. Which is one of the reasons, we need to enforce the "Fairness Doctrine" and start monopoly busting.

Intolerance has been around forever, it just changed to being intolerant of Christians!
:)
And I am not the blind one, you guys have fallen hook line and sinker:)
Like it says in the AMA show, you not only want us to accept gays and lesbians (which I don't care if they want to follow that life style) you want us to endorse them even when it goes against our religious belief....that is a bigot against Christian beliefs!
Gee it's hard to face reality huh?

Then go after them under the Sherman Act.

Regulating content in the manner proposed is not constitutional, IMHO. They can choose to be fair and balanced, and they are free to be biased and prejudicial - they are even allowed to be dishonest, to a point.

Or they could call themselves fair and balanced and be anything but (like Fox).

No one is asking anyone to endorse homosexuality. That is homopobic hyperbole at its worst.

Permitting gay marriage DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS AT ALL. So shut the hell up.

No one is making you Christians "become gay" or practice homosexuality.

You are free to live your lives any old way you choose.

You are no longer free, though, to pass laws and policies that attack the civil rights of gays and lesbians.

And apparently tht really, really rankles a lot of you. TS.
