I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it...BUT...some comments can offend people. I'd like to see him bowl against a special olympian and see who wins.

Exactly. This is much ado about nothing. It's just an opportunity for those who oppose Obama to wind up and throw more stones at him. If Special Olympians and their families are not insulted by what Obama said, then why should anyond else take umbrage. Obama apologized. Let it go, people. We have much more important things to be concerned with.
You're right....much more important things. Like, making sure everyone can watch their Digital TV so we'll push the conversion date out....oh, and don't forget the $200,000 for the Tattoo Removal project.
Much more important things to worry about.

It was a stupid, off the cuff remark. Obama should not go on Jay Leno or any other talk show, for that matter.

I have 2 close relatives with disabilities. One was because of malpractice, and the other was a severe birth defect.

I an NOT offended by Obama's remark. Obama and the DEMS have always been on the side of people with disabilities. The REPS - have never been, and only care about the wealthy and their own taxes. If it were up to the Repubs - no one would have health care insurance, unless they were rich enough to buy it. There would be no Medicare.

President Obama - Should stay off the talk-show circuit. I will watch him on Sunday -60 Minutes.

I am by no means a fan of Obama's, but, sheesh...cut the guy a break! If you saw the clip, which I did this morning, you would see that he meant no offense to it what so ever.(I know if it were Bush no grace would be given. But, I'm personally bigger than that.) Like it's been said, there are much bigger things to deal with. He's also said/not said/changed what he said about bigger things. Let's not get bogged down on a true slip of the tongue. Let's focus on what REALLY matters.

Oh darn, he made a questionable PC joke.

I'd be more worried WHY he needs to show up on Jay. HOW is going to horse-screw this county. WHERE you are going to live after inflation makes milk 8 bucks a gallon.

He is a magician. Keep your eyes over here but don't worry about what is being bent over in the back.

President Obama is too concerned with playing to the liberal media. Makes me sick how he cares more about how he looks on TV than the state of our country. Sad sad times for the good 'ol USA. :-(

Sometimes you actually have to go out and work to provide necessary things like food, clothing, housing, and insurance for your family-and not wait for the government to hand it out. All the while everyone else is carrying the tab. Typicall.

The first thing President Obama did when he boarded Air Force One was to call Tim Shriver and apologize. No one needs to give him a free pass. Even he knew it was wrong the minute he said it. Forget former Presidents. This is about Obama's character. He's the leader of this country. I'm still waiting for him to act like it. I expect my 19 year old brother to make juvenile cracks. I don't expect it of a Harvard educated seemingly intelligent adult. No excuses.
So jokes of any type are a matter of education and intelligence??

You must be back at the "why did the chicken cross the road" stage.

It will take all four years to clean up Bush's scat pile. Until then, shut thy pie hole.

I have a special needs daughter and she bowled a 97 last week.

It's nice to see Obama showing his true colors now that the election is over and he's in office. I am so glad I did not vote for him. His jokes just like his policies SUCK!

He will probably say it was his white half that told the joke and his black half will apologize.

Your statement is CoMpleTe bull-oney. What a horrible general statement to state that the "Republicans" don't care.

Shame on you and your generalizations. I am one conservative who will give and give and give, without regard to politics, or even your narrow-minded opinion. I am disgusted by your assumptions.
