It took a liberal to leak this because liberals are the only group that understand the meanings of liberty and freedom.
Says the person who's zealously condemning a man before he is proven guilty in a court of law on another thread.

Your idea of liberty and freedom is evidently based on what letter someone puts before their name and the color of one's skin, the two worst reasons to form an opinion.

The business record section of FISA allows the govt to obtain practically any business record they want. If you don't like that provision then complain to your Rep. but don't expect anything to change. And regarding cell phone use. There is no expectation of privacy PERIOD. There is none now nor has there ever been. If you use a cell phone expect someone to intercept the communication. That's how it works. Break the law in some way, expect the govt to get your cell phone records and use them against you. Govt will use every thing and anything they have at their disposal so either get used to it or quit using a cell phone.

Anyone remember Bush ordering wiretaps on U.S. citizens without subpoenas several years ago? If you don't, or you don't care, you have no business complaining about whats going on today.

I remember a bunch of liberals slinging themselves on the ground like little rag dolls in full tantrum. I remember that.

Wonder where all those liberal freedom and liberty fighters vanished to? Maybe they went to the same happy place all those war protesters went. Or maybe they just chucked their cell phones into the fever swamp and went home.

So in other words, you're gnashing your teeth for something that isn't going to effect you or anyone else? Strange...... Then why are so many people acting like they'll be scooped up any minute by the Nazi, Fascist, Commie, Muslim Government?
It seems that a large portion of the population enjoys fearing those things that can't harm them!
first off, you actually have to read what i wrote before you attempt to understand it.

i stated that despite the belly aching and news-making, media hyped reporting, short of open insurrection, the general public will not cause to affect any substantial changes to the way things are being performed by the government, covert or otherwise.

in the representative form we inherited and now endure, our electors are supposed to manage things on our behalf.

problem is, the majority of persons actually running the system are either appointed or hired outright, e.g., are far removed from any voter threat of recall or retribution. they subsist from administration to administration with what i believe is mainly their own self-styled agenda that may or may not have anything to do with what the public's perception of the government's operation is actually like.

when things get out of hand, its nearly impossible to match it back to the hand it got out of.

even now certain congressional members are squeaking about the unaffordable premiums they may be forced to pay requiring them to resign their position in order to get private coverage for their families.

I'm pleased to see that this administration is giving all of its supporters their money's worth, literally. however some i think didn't foresee it to be this expensive.

lastly, what people are fearing is uncertainty and in-assurance from their government which is far worse than the entities you cited.
