From Truman to Bush there was a total of 39 months of unemployment. Under Obama alone there have been 43.

The idiot democrats still don't get it.

I know. Obama is a rabid socialist who actually wants the economy weak so he can get more individuals on the government dole. That's the only way he can fundamentally "transform" America. Meanwhile, the MSM is attacking Marco Rubio for taking a drink during his response speech because they know Rubio is right. It's going to be a very dark next four years.

Who are the job creators and job eliminators in this country Chip?

In simpler terms; who employs people and who un-employs them?

Probably an illegal Cuban immigrant making less than minimum wage and under threat of deportation if they want to join a union. After all Rubio is out to protect the people from his neighborhood. You saw how far away Rubio had to reach for the water.

Wait a minute. It was you he hired for the water detail, wasn't it. That's how you know he hired someone.

Rats! I thought when you mentioned Obama unemployment you meant that he had lost his job. No such luck. We'd be better off if he was unemployed.

Careful here, as far as I know we have never had a time with 100% employment. You might want to rephrase your quote.
You are correct. It should say unemployment above 8%

Mostly private companies do as a result of changes in the health of the economy, which is influenced by who?

I thought you still believed Obama created the jobs? He sure seemed to claim he created a lot of jobs and claimed during the elections that he was going to. Hows that hope & change?

If what you say is true about minimum wage, then they don't. High probability that at that wage level, minimum wage is using services.....

I have countered that misrepresentation several times on here saying the President of the United States can not create jobs. It's not within his Constitutional authority.

The government can create jobs and it does. It would in no way be proper to misrepresent that to mean the president. So yes Obama and Romney were politicizing they (each) would create jobs.

Not expecting you would read these on the subject of government creating jobs but I'll post them anyway.

I don't disagree that the president has limited power to create jobs, however he can infuence policy that companies will use to determine if they should create jobs. He continues to make those who create jobs targets of his class warfare, and guess what, they have not created jobs in the U.S. as a result.

I'm sure Obama is happ the NYT came to his rescue.

You mean like Bush policy influence to create jobs? Bush increased jobs in the public sector while losing jobs in the private sector. Whereas under Obama jobs lost in the public sector and gained jobs in the private sector.

That kind of influencing policy for job creation?

Yes there still is a net job lose from the Bush years that has not been yet rectified during Obama.

I get it now, this is how Obama "creates" jobs all the while using our tax payer money. You
may recall that President Barack Obama in 2010 visited the electric battery plant to promote his administration’s clean energy agenda.
“Our goal has never been to create a government program, but rather to unleash private-sector growth,” Obama said.“And we’re seeing results.”
“This is a symbol of where Michigan’s going. This is a symbol of where Holland is going. This is a symbol of where America is going,” he added.
Take from that what you will.

Old news.

Here's the new news

But still it's private sector business misusing tax payer money. So that means the government intended it to be misused?

And yet, what was the average unemployment under Bush vs. Obama? That's right blame Bush.

Don't you wonder how the recession was Bush's fault and the high unemployment was Bush's fault and the high gas prices were Bush's fault? Yet Obama has been President for 4 years and the gas prices are higher than when he took office, unemployment is still hovering around 8% and the recovery is plodding along and yet it's still Bush's fault? The "logic" is comical to say the least.

I know you can't absorb this, but, it's not about blaming Bush. It's about not laying it all on Obama because, as much as it injures you, it's not all about Obama being to blame.
