There is no "leader" then since the so called "leader" blamed BUSH, yet again, yesterday. And there are ZERO results unless 8% and climbing unemployment is considered a result.

Where is all of this "free stuff" the right wing extremists keep talking about?

I voted for Obama and I didn't get any "free stuff." Where is the "free stuff?"

If you want to see who really gives away the "free stuff," look at which party gives tax cuts and loopholes to those who do not need them, and that the country cannot afford.

You would have thought that the $900 MILLION that the 1% gave to his election campaign would have gotten him more votes from the 47% who he said that he didn't care about.

It's not like the 1% was going to expect any "gifts" had The Mormon got into office!

You're a union shill, you don't qualify for the free stuff. NOW, quit working and stay home, collect 99 weeks of unemployment and you would qualify for the free stuff. Of course, the $$ your union put into the coffers to help buy the election for Obama also disqualifies you.

Exactly. He was going to give our money away too but instead of spreading around the money he would have given his gifts to a very small percentage. What's the difference, gifts are gifts right?

Now these elitists are going to lose their gifts and man are they going to be pissed. I don't feel bad for them, somehow they think they are entitled to the money I make just so they can stash it in some overseas tax shelter or invest it in some dog meat factory in China.

"If" I want my money going anywhere it would be to help some kid get through college, some liitle boy from the projects to get an operation or help some abused single mom to put food on her table while her husband sits in prison. It just seems to be the Christian thing to do.

Think about that one...I'm more Christian than most Christians. I don't believe Jesus would be in favor of giving money to the rich and powerful over giving money to the needy. Of course that's just my opinion.

Indeed. Want to know what most of the people my kids knew who voted for Obama gave as a reason? They were afraid Romney was going to take away their food stamps. Entitlements were their main concern.
Then again, I have a feeling that Obama may regret being re-elected before this term is over.

I can see how you would assume that since that is what Obama did with the money that financed his campaign.

They still pay less, percentage-wise, than I do.

And your argument basically says they shouldn't pay that much---instead it should be passed on to the middle class. Nice to see you're keeping in step with your party.

I very much doubt "they" pay percentage-wise less than you. Look at the bottom line of the first page of your tax return line 37 "Adjusted gross income" then page 2 line 61 "total tax" Divide the second number by the first number and tell me the %.

The point you seem to miss is that they are already paying 94%, if there is going to be a tax cut don't you think they are entitled to a tax cut just like everyone else. I know it involves thought, not your strong point.

Romney lost to Obama, but he'd be a shoo-in in the race for "Hypocrite In Chief". Go to www.opensecrets.org and look up Romney's top financial contributors. You'll find that the top 4 were Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley. Combine that information with the fact that during the campaign Romney said he'd repeal Dodd-Frank, and the inescapable conclusion is that the repeal would be Romney's gift to his top financial contributors. Romney's pointing the finger of blame at Obama for doing something he would have done himself had he been elected.

They should be paying it.

The top 20% has 93% of the wealth in the U.S.

The bottom 50% has 1% of the wealth.

If you want the bottom to pay more then there needs to be some redistribution of that wealth, or else the top should pay everything.

What all the "brilliant" libs on this thread fail to understand is the middle class is going to pay more. We are going to pay more in the cost of goods and services. Raise the taxes on business, they pass the cost on in the form of higher prices. Are the elitists in DC going to pay more taxes? Not on your life or mine, unless they also close the loopholes they use to avoid taxes. What do you think the odds are that they close the loopholes of their biggest contributors? Hollyweird, Soros, MoveOn, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, etc., didn't contribute to the campaigns of Obama AND Romney to have their tax loopholes closed. And let's not forget the unions who pumped money, time, and bullies into the election at every corner. Do you really think they want loopholes closed? Watch what the economy does in the next 6 months. Unemployment is going up, prices are going up and so will inflation.

Good Day,

And the same could be said about Obama as far as hypocrisy. He told business leaders not to go to Vegas. How many times did he go after that statement? Where is the "transparency"? He complained about corporate jets yet he buzzes around like a busy bee in the ultimate corporate jet - on our dime BTW. "I will not rest!" well, maybe after another round of golf. He spoke of a more polite political tone only to run one of the most vicious campaigns of late.

The bigger problem is that he is at the helm of a nation on the downfall.(Yet, nothing is ever HIS fault.) Heck, Reagan managed to get the ship to turn in three years, but Obama continues to steer the ship toward the rocks. Record chronic long term unemployment. The most number of people recieving food stamps ever. Record high numbers of people in poverty. And that is just the tip of the iceburg...
