At&T sucks at customer service, billing, even can't answer the phone after an hour because there's so many disgruntled customers calling.

I had at&t and canceled because of high rates. I received a billing with a credit on it and assumed that they would send me a check. Well the next month I received another credit statement so I called. They (AT&T) said that they would only issue a refund if it was requested by the customer!! What a crock of crap. They want you to pay your bill on time and yet will not pay you back when it is due you unless you call and request it.

You are so right our phone bills with them were about $50-$60 a month, we have switched to Comcast and it's only like $25.

I thought Comcast only does cable or broadband. AT&T has overbilled me for the past three months and I can't get through to them. I've tried to e-mail and even pay my bill online, which doesn't work. Three months ago, when I was able to get somebody, nobody there knew how to fix or use the online stuff they ask you to use while you're on hold for hours. The service people are snarky and apparently, from the looks of my bills, do everything wrong.

I don't have a problem with them. I have a package I've had for years and it's cheaper than the cable company (Charter). Never mind the fact that I won't give Charter a DIME. We don't have the new Uverse though.

You want a company with problems, try Dish Network! None of their phone center can speak clear English (No I really don't believe your name is Lisa), and they are always new. Even had one reading from a script the other day.

I have to add in... AT&T for home phone, DSL (1/2 mile from a hub and run faster than neighbor's cable speed), and cells.

There is a package for the cells where if you call an AT&T number (home, wireless, or business), it doesn't use your minutes. My hubby is an ex-truck driver. He was always going over our minutes with all his stops. Switching to that dropped our minute usage in HALF. I actually loose roll over minutes now that are a year old.

I had ATT wireless for eight years. My phone broke one month before the end of my contract and they would not get me a reduced intro priced phone to replace it. I dropped the service and went to Nextel which is the only service that works at my house.

I left ATT about 2 years ago due to customer service issues, billing issues, and repeated problems with getting them to fix our line. They kept telling me that our service was fine, that it must be a problem with the wiring inside our house. The fourth tech finally found the problem. There was a bad splice where the wire branched off to our house. Every time there was a quick temperature change or strong wind, our service would cut out and then come back on. When we finally dropped them, they told me that I would have a credit coming, but it would take 2 billing cycles. In the mean time I received to collection notices from them.

I have never had a problem with Comcast or Sprint. Sure, my cable has gone out, but they take care of the problem without hassling me or trying to charge me extra.

I have Comcast and they suck, really really suck.
Every time I try to order the UFC fights on PPV it doesn't work, I have to call their service support, wait on the phone for 40 minutes to get them to answer, then wait for them to fix the problem. I end up missing part of the PPV and paying for the whole thing. I got so pissed off I cancelled my expanded digital package and returned my DVR boxes. I had to wait in line at their service center for a half hour just to return the boxes. It's damn near impossible to get a live person on the phone, and their automated system constantly hangs up on you.

I was ready to switch to AT&T cable but now I'm seeing people here say they suck too.

I've had ATT home phone for years and years with no problems. I've had the DSL for 6 yrs. now with NO problems; I've never lost one day of service from them, and the price for it is Great.
I wish I could get the Uverse for cable, but it's not available in my area yet; and I hear too much crap about Dish and Direct TV, so I just stay with my Charter Cable for now.

If you think AT&T is bad - try One Communications (Choice One)! The frequency in which they go through Account reps is astounding. Their customer service is terrible, and tech support is even worse. I once called their 24-hour tech support and was put on hold - after waiting 2 hours, I set the phone on the desk and went home. I came back early the next morning and it was still on hold. I later found out they outsource their tech support over-seas and were 'having some problems with them'.

I cant wait for the day that my contract with these clowns is fulfilled.

Comcast is the worst devil company ever! I have their triple play. TV channels barely come in and couln't see the superbowl, answering machine not compatible with their phone service, and the internet is always down. I am canceling the phone, getting dish installed saturday, but I have to keep the internet because it's my only option.

I have the triple play for over a year now and have not lost internet or cable at all. I am not real happy with the phone service though. My phone seems to click several times before I get a dial tone and I can't tell if I have any messages without retrieving them. They don't show up on my answering machine.

at&t is a joke, go with comcast for your needs. my wife and i tried to get at&t last year for our cable and internet. our credit wasn't picture perfect so they turned us down. i mean who's credit score is perfect in today's economy ? they should be happy people want to do business with them. they might regret turning down all of the people they did one day when they file for bankruptcy like everyone else.

When I first got online at 9:43 central time, I was #47 in queue and estimated waited time was less than 15 minutes. It is now 11:52. OVER TWO HOURS!!!!!! Just ridiculous. So much for great “customer service”. Please tell your managers to put more customer service reps on duty. And that if this continues I WILL find another provider. My account may not mean much to you, but multiplied by hundreds of thousands, it will.
I have voip.com for phone service. When I dial phone numbers and am asked to use the keypad for an entry it does not work. And my fax machine will not work. My phone is about a year old. My fax machine is less than a month old. It is an HP L7590. So please do not tell me it is my equipment.
Voip.com says that the problem is on your end. They say the problems are related. And both on your end.
And please dispense with the “thank you” and “I’ll be glad to help you with your problem” automated remarks. Just fix my problem.
As you can tell I am not a happy customer. And I won’t be for long. I will either have this problem solved or find another provider.
AND NOW, ONCE I FINALLY GOT ON, THE GUY ENDED THE SESSION. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING? DO YOU NOT THINK YOU CAN GO THE SAME WAY AS GM??????
BY GOD I AM GOING TO GET THIS SOLVED OR CHANGE. THE HELL WITH YOU.
