Congress (both Republicans and Democrats) are apparently having big secret talks amongst each other. They are trying to work out a fix where they would be exempt from ObamaCARE. According to Politico, the talks involve Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), the Obama administration and other top lawmakers. ObamaCARE is good enough for you, but not the ‘elites’ in DC. This really pisses me off. I hope it pisses off other people.
A source close to the talks says:“Everyone has to hold hands on this and jump, or nothing is going to get done.”
Yet if Capitol Hill leaders move forward with the plan, they risk being dubbed hypocrites by their political rivals and the American public. By removing themselves from a key Obamacare component, lawmakers and aides would be held to a different standard than the people who put them in office.
Democrats, in particular, would take a public hammering as the traditional boosters of Obamacare. Republicans would undoubtedly attempt to shred them over any attempt to escape coverage by it, unless Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) give Democrats cover by backing it.
There is concern in some quarters that the provision requiring lawmakers and staffers to join the exchanges, if it isn’t revised, could lead to a “brain drain” on Capitol Hill, as several sources close to the talks put it.

It begs the question, if Obamacare were as great as liberals want us to believe, why are the people who voted for it now either coming out against it or doing their best rope-a-dope to exempt themselves from it?

It also begs the question, are the idiots who voted for the party that brought us this horrible legislation even paying attention at this point?

Most Americans, in such polls as Rasmussen and Quinnipiac, as well as ABC, CBS and that "evil" FOX, show more than half of America wants Obama's miserable legislation - his one and only true accomplishment - repealed immediately.

Considering the knee-jerk mentality that liberals on this site demonstrate, most recently with the gun law vote, it seems just passing something - ANYTHING - regardless of how predictably damaging it is, was enough to appease their need to jump up and down and claim victory as if all this is some kind of high school football game.

So, nice job libtards ... you succeeded in electing a president (twice!) who's major namesake legislation is so unpopular your elected idiot officials won't even touch it now that they've foisted it on the rest of us.

You guys are batting .000, yet you run around here crowing like fools about "We Won! You Lost!!" Meanwhile, you'll be paying through your nose like the rest of the losers thanks to your self-proclaimed "victory". LOL

‘elites’

See the little "TM"??
Anyone know what that stands for??
I know of someone who doesn't...

Reminds me of a Judas Priest song...Breakin' the law, Breakin' the law.

This will not end well...... Love to see the Dems collapse and their useful idiots pay the price for their mindless following of their doctrine... Republicans really need to do nothing but call for total repeal and free market solutions to solve the health care problems..... Make people responsible for their bills is a good start.....

Are you claiming these politicians from both parties aren't trying to exempt themselves from a law the democrats passed? NO, you're just ignoring facts and attacking the source. We've been beyond that silly liberal tactic for years now. Time to start backing up your support for a party who voted on a horrible law that no on read.

If you idiots can't start providing your own proof that defends your support for these progressive legislations then kindly shut the hell up.

Apparently you lack the skills to find evidence to repute the posting? And slamming the source is a typical progressive whiny trick. Can't provide credible evidence to the contrary, so denigrate the original poster. Hone up your skills or put a cork in it.

I heardthis on the news (WTOP) yesterday...

Update: John Boehner responded on Twitter today by disavowing the effort entirely, and making the obvious point:
We're not sneaking any language into bills to solve Dems'#hcr problem. The solution to this & other ObamaCare nightmares is #fullrepeal.

What's puzzling, and disturbing, is some folks continue to defend illegal posting methods and the wild accusations made from the whacko website they are coming from. They even go so far as to demand opposition proof when there is no substantial evidence for the claims in the first place.
Common sense has been thrown out and apparently one must be either far "left" or far "right" and there is no middle ground. If someone disagrees with either side they are immediatly labeled as a liberal or a conservative.
Whomever started out to divide this country to weaken us as a Nation must be thrilled. The lines are drawn and there is no middle ground to be had. It's sad to see and witness but it's obvious it was successful.

If the GOP wants to win an election they have got reach people other than those who've signed up on Boehner's f'ing Twitter account.

The majority of the country is no longer in favor of Obamacare. It's one the of the few areas that the majority of the country sides with the GOP position. Poll after poll demonstrates this. The republicans have a gift of an opportunity handed to them. The country is now beginning to see the predictions of Obamacare unfortunately coming true - and the reaction of the democrats is very telling. They don't want to touch the very legislation they foisted upon the American people!

NOW is the time for the republicans to start getting into the political game and doing to the democrats what they have been doing to the GOP for over a decade. Take advantage of a disaster. Do they really expect Boehner's Tweets to beat the democrat vote-harvesting machine?

How do we know they weren't looking into it and since they were discovered, a big stink made, they stopped? Kinda like what happened when it was made known that the Obama's were going to campaign in Texas without visiting the blast victims' families. All of a sudden....it's on the agenda.

Agreed. You have but to read Saul Alinksy's 'Rules For Radicals' to see exactly how the progressives have intentionally worked to divide our nation and pick it apart. Americans have been blind to it and now it's proving to be too late.

It's sad, but when a society is so dumbed down they can no longer think for themselves it's made much easier for a well-organized political agenda to take hold. It will take a tremendous amount of effort and dedication to gain back what the progressives have destroyed. It will take more than Boehner's Twitter account, that's for damned sure!
