"as well as natural processes such as respiration and volcanic eruptions"
How many volcanic eruptions have we had in the past 10 years? Including some volcanoes which were considered dormant (aka Mt. St. Helen's)? Oh, and help out the world, stop breathing will ya?
"Methane" Kill the cows!! Stop eating rice!! Oh, and stop breathing - as asked above. Therefore YOU can personally stop adding to landfills.
"Climate change is occurring, is very likely caused by human activities" < aka, yes, the climate changes and since it's a natural occurrence and we need to scare people and cause panic, let's blame the humans. Then we can justify more taxes, more regulations which in turn will equal more money we can have to play with.

Hey there neecer...if I may poke my 2 cents worth in here...
Interesting read so far however I ran into this contradiction...
First it says this...
The inter-zonal effect of such larger-scale movements like the Gulf stream, or the El Nino–El Nina patterns, are not really greatly understood, and virtually impossible to model.
Then it says this...
The sun directly drives the El Nino–El Nina current motions that drive temperature changes world-wide. The sun sets up evaporative cycles, drives larger air and water currents or cycles, and changes weather patterns and therefore climate change.

So in one comment we are led to believe no one knows how El Nino and El Nina patterns are impossible to pattern and then later the claim is made the models are driven by the sun but apparently still virtually impossible to do so.

There are other contradictions also...

Hey Wiggley!

My link was posted to show just how ludicrous both sides can be. I don't believe the government data, anymore than I trust them with my taxes. It's too easy to skew the data - for either side. Nor do I completely agree with the link I posted - but it was the exact opposite than pippy. I think the link I put up has good points, but I think they went way overboard too.

there is common ground, but when dealing with someone like pippy, there is nothing common...

The progressive mantra "you are too stupid to understand, therefore, you need us to interpret for you and tell you how to live." Just one of the many reasons the progressives are losing the Independents and those who think instead of being lemmings. When they have zero facts to support their case, they resort to name calling and insulting. So predictable...

Blah, blah, blah........

Here's a prime example of the ultra-conservative mindset.

Those bad old liberals are trying to tell us how to live, and all we ask is that they drop science and allow the bible back into schools, ban all abortions even in cases of rape, and outlaw the gay/lesbian lifestyle. See, it's not like the conservatives have anything to say about how others live their life!

Progressives are losing independents, while at the very same time, the ultra-conservatives are kicking the RINO's out into the cold. If moderate conservatives are tired of them, I can't imagine what independents positioned left of a normal republican thinks about the chances of supporting them.

Gosh, I guess the only thing left to do is to see what new patriot shows up to refute this post without resorting to name calling or insults.....

None of the current crop of village idiots can take that position!

I guess you better look up and reprimand Pippy for his foul language and insults. Oh wait, that only applies to one side. The progressives can show how INtolerant they are on a daily basis, and that's just fine...

Ok, never mind folks... move along...

Consider of the source of the post to whom you're responding IS the village idiot, moving along is probably advisable.

As for global warming/climate change/ the sky is falling ... whatever the left is rebranding they're fixation this month, the Earth has seen temperature flux many times before, and will in the future, whether we mandate and tax carbon emission or not. Greenland didn't get it's name because of the ice it's currently covered under. It once was used to farm crops and grow vineyards for wine, and long before Bob came along with his hairspray and gas-guzzling, carbon spewing station wagon, to say nothing of major industrial facilities that spew so much pollution into our atmosphere.

If we want to curb pollution and clean our environment up I'm all for it. In fact, I've belonged to many an environmental and wildlife protection organization over the years - but not at the behest of some hypocritical barking moonbat named Al Gore, or some government paid scientist with a hockey stick graph that's been proven to be total shinola - and certainly not in an effort to further empower a government entity that has no congressional restraints. And definitely not because some radical Topix site troll is busting our chops about abortion and God!

You want to take on pollution? Fine. You want to save the rhino? Great!! I'm down with all of that. You want to develop consumer products that are more environmentally safe? Awesome!

You want to tell me that excessive plant food is a cause for the government to sweep in and start levying taxes on certain industries while using our tax dollars to fund other equally environmentally unfriendly industries that all themselves "green" and just happen to contribute large sums of campaign donations to the democrat party? I don't think so.

Don't need to name call or insult you Bob. When you post this type of drivel, you insult yourself and other progressives who are much more articulate than either you or the pipester.
