The vast majority of that "Other Half" do pay taxes, in the form of sales tax, property tax, other govt. fees, just not income taxes because they earn so little. Furthermore, the taxes they do pay are regressive and disproportionate to their income levels. And of course, many in that 'other half' category, are the sick and aged, students, retirees, single parents and others who can least afford to pay anything.

I know you never be able comprehend why we have a progressive tax system, how it works and why it is far superior to other tax schemes, but we have been over this numerous times ad-nauseum and you sound like a broken record.

He said INCOME tax. His statement is true. You are right that everybody gets hit with a sales tax. Good observation pothead! This is why we should have a national sales tax instead of the national income tax.

While I'm happy that this child is being put onto the larger adult transplant waiting list, it has to make me smile to see so many of you demanding that the government get involved in health care decisions.......
Now we only have to wait to see if they find a suitable donor before time runs out and you can all climb back on the smaller government - keep your hands off our medical care bandwagon!
I too am thrilled that this child has a better chance of having a transplant. But let me be clear on this Bob, I am not in any way demanding that the government get involved. My point of this thread is just the opposite. I don't want the government involved. But due to Obamacare, we have this in place and must follow the law as established by Obamacare. Sebelius was placed as the person in charge by this administration. That is why the parents went to her. They went right to the top of HHS and were denied.

I am not angry, disgusted yes, impassioned yes, wary yes, I don't trust the people who have some perceived power that they wish to wield over others they think are less intelligent than they. Have you really ever listened to Obama or Sebelius or Pelosi, disgusting, but they are lizards so what would one expect. I would say together they have a combined IQ of about 50 but what can you expect from lizards.

Never suggested the girl should not be be put on the adult lung transplant list or considered for extraordinary life saving measures. I am saying your faux angst is misdirected towards Sebelius and you and other crazies are twisting this into a political issue and talking out of both sides of your big mouths.
SO YOU can Answer MY question. What do you expect HHS do the next time a similar situation occurs? Intervene and break the rules or follow the rules? Keep in mind they are not HHS rules - they are rules made by experts who make up the Organ Transplant and Procurement Network and United Network for Organ Sharing both of which are private-non profit non-governmental organizations?
I, unlike you, expect her to earn her salary. She has the power to forego the rules for extenuating circumstances. Now, I know that your very little mind doesn't know that means, so ask Mommy to splain it to you little man. And bear in mind, when this happens next time and a Republican refuses to do anything, YOU will be reminded that you wanted Sebelius to "keep hands off". Of course, your selective little mind won't remember, but I'm sure there are several of us who would be more than willing to help you with than endeavor.

I guess maybe you could reach 50 points if you throw in Dianne Feinstein and Biden.

All anybody has to do is go to the Rainbow Club any given night, he will be the best dancer in the place and he'll be wearing a Obama costume. Oh ya, he will have all the guys around him giving him dollars. If you still can't find him then he will be in the back servicing some customers. If he's not there then he is down the street at mom's house in the basement. Jason is very easy for anyone to find.

The word ignorant simply means not knowing what the facts are.......

But when the facts are all around you that these guidelines where in place almost five years, repeat, five years, before Obamacare even came into existence, and you still won't accept that fact, the term ignorant doesn't fit.

In that case, you can provide a direct link that shows that this protocol was created by Obamacare, and was never an issue prior to that point.......

If not, then I guess you are quickly moving into my buddy category. My completely clueless, lowly educated, window licking, buddy list. Around here, you aren't alone in that group!

I understand exactly what you are saying. I 100% agree with you that these guidelines were placed 5 years ago. I get that. But what I'm saying is that for the head of HHS appointed by Obama himself to say that some live and some die is as close to death panels as they come. Do you in your blindness see what I'm saying? How can I make it more clear for you?

Especially since she had the authority as head of HHS to, on an exception basis, allow those guidelines to be bypassed and rather than do so, replied with a very cold,'some live and some die' response and I doubt she lost even a second of sleep over it.
How much you want to be the kid's parents voted Republican? Considering this administration likes to punish those that they feel are not supportive of them and considering the massive phone, email and internet monitoring going on, it's not too much of a stretch to consider the possibility.

Clarity is not something Bob is looking for here Ben. Bob looks for someone to bully and name call. The rest of us laugh at him and ignore his stupidity so he has chosen you for the next "victim".

My comment that you applied to me wasn't addressed to you but since you brought it up I will address it to you. You're the one who made the statement that the organ transplant issue relates to O-care so provide the links to show that it does or just shut the F up.
