and tax.

So when you are strapped for cash, may I say it is "extremely little" trouble to pay a little more?

How is it you came to believe that actions do not have extended consequences? Are you really so lacking in common sense to understand it takes less time to spill a bucket of water than it does to clean it up? And the financial screw ups (spilled water) that Bush and even Engler created all for the illusion of economic prosperity is going to take much longer to clean up than it did to create it.
If you don't believe so go out and borrow a few hundred thousand dollars and see if you can pay it back as fast as it took you to borrow it.
And are you really lacking the common sense to think that raising income taxes is the way to raise revenues?

I explained it in the post you linked. If you can't decifer from there, then you simply aren't worth my time as usual - but here's the short short version....

Taxes are raised... people have less income... people buy less... companies downsize because their products aren't being purchased... people loose their jobs.... less taxes are paid..

There, was that easier?

I heard on the news a week or so ago that Michigan lost 33,000 residents. How many of those are now tax payers for others states? There is less tax revenue in that spot alone.

Then you have the increase in the tobacco taxes that Jenny did 6 years ago. How much did that fall short of the number she said it would bring in. What in the world would make her think raising them again would work?

Well, that didn't work, so let's raise the state income taxes (even if it's a repeal of a tax cut - it's still a RAISE in taxes), more and more people have left the state. Raise in taxes or not, there is less of a tax base.

How is that so incredibly difficult to understand?

I totally agree. However, I keep reading another poster on Topix making comments that he is not running for re-election. I have not yet heard that on the MSM. Is this true? If it is, I think perhaps he realized that he is in over his head.

One of the appealing things for me as a voter was his lack of being a career politician. I wanted someone who wasn't "tainted" if you will. But, since I am a grown man capable of admitting when I make a mistake, I will concede that my mistake this time was voting for Obama.

I don't know as I would term it a mistake. The alternative would have been a worse choice.

You take bits and pieces reasons and consider them the cumulative answer.

I make this very short so as not to confuse. IF these businesses had to pay more than a few dollars A DAY in wages and they were still burdened with the costs of health care coverage they would not be so quick to leave.

Now YOU be the instigator of the movement for the American worker to make, and I'll be extremely liberal,$20.00 per day and pay ALL the taxes that support the infrastructure that business makes profit off...being able to use (it) because the cost has been spread across the broad base of the population.

The way you think you'll become an American hero for starting that movement.

LMAO!

Whatever SIB. You keep slamming businesses and they are the evils in the world. I have ready way too many of your posts to even bother.

While you're on your little rants, why don't you try to remember something called sales tax. You know that extra little 6% that is added into the total of your purchases? Obviously if people aren't buying, they aren't paying sales tax. If they aren't working they aren't paying sales taxes for purchases they aren't making and they aren't paying income taxes - especially if their unemployment has run out and they have given up on even looking.

But you're the economic genius. YOU figure out how to make it work strictly on income taxes and business taxes.

So, how's that raise in taxes working out for you? Still have the money to spend on things you want? My paycheck is less which means I have less 'disposable' income to play with. That means less meals out, less frivolous purchases and no big ticket items. How long do you think those stores are going to stay open without people actually buying things? How long are there going to be people working? And funny...people don't work, they don't have an income, they don't have an income they aren't out there buying stuff. If they aren't buying stuff, then stores are selling items. Stores aren't selling items, they have to let people go or close their doors. Therefore less people working AGAIN.
It's a viscous circle that obviously you and your Chicago Math skills can't figure out too well. Let me guess.. public school graduate with no college education?
I'm type slowly so you can understand. I'll even use caps to help you out. IF PEOPLE AREN'T WORKING THEY AREN'T PAYING TAXES. IF THEY AREN'T PAYING TAXES THERE ARE NO TAX REVENUES. WITHOUT TAX REVENUES YOU DON'T HAVE SUPPORT OF THE BASIC SERVICES.
Damn... it must really hurt to think some times.
Good hope your income declines for a long time you voted for it. I'll bet you never studied economics. want to bet your pay check on my education. lets make it a years worth of pay. would love to see your kind living on the streets with the crackhead bitches. only the uneducated like yourself would make such an uneducated post. I got a bigger pay check thanks to obama. you regressives like to give tax breaks to the wealthy and then you bitch and suffer because the regressives way means higher taxes for lower incomes and lower taxes for the wealthy who really dont need a tax break. try to think of something better to base your argument on because your a failure like bush cheney.

He does know, but all we need is to have more from more people paying in and get piles more cash for the govm't.

but to just take peoples money hurts everyone

The first, everyone is content, second, everyone is angry.

Your income will also being going down when the taxes start in for the health care scam the government will be forcing on us if that debacle manages to get passed.

And you won't have a bigger paycheck when the Bush tax cuts have been repealed like it has already been said they would be. And oh, bigger check! You mean the whole 7 dollars and change? Hope you don't spend it all in one place.

And I didn't vote for Bush, I voted third party. There was no way in HELL I was voting for Al "I invented the internet" and "the earth is hotter than the sun" Gore or John "I voted for it before I voted against it" and " The SUV belongs to my wife" Kerry. Anymore than I voted for Bill "I can't keep it in my pants" Clinton.

You, like SIB and radell simply aren't worth my time. Take your snorted koolaid leftist elitist post to someone who cares.

Still attempting to bully people I see. For someone who claims to be so "intelligent" you seem rather clueless on how your taxes will be affected and have already been affected. But, as you said, "you voted for it" so enjoy it.

quit acting like a 3 year old. I know many libs that also admit they "may have" made a mistake in buying into Obamas campaign. Believe it not people live and learn, just because someone realizes that may in fact not agree with what he is doing, doesnt mean they cant learn and evolve personally. wow someone says they dont like Obama and you libs go crazy. Its like you thinks it not possible that someone could possibly disagree with whats going on. Maybe you are right, maybe spending and spending and spending and spending and spending and spending and spending and some how justifying it will work. Oh wait, we do get to see taxes go up!

the bush tax cut was a regressive tax cut which benefited a mere 1% of the people and destroyed the economy. if you dont want the $7 dollars give it back you whinner. I've never seen a third party voter defend the republicans in my life as much as you do so I can tell you lying and too ashamed to admint it. What are you loser regressive republicans trying to do now destroy the tiny third party? If the independant party is growing it is because of the party traitor republicans switching sides out of shame.

Nonsense. The tax cut benefitted anybody who made over $20,000. Remember whan we all got those checks for $300?
The left loves to rail against the tax cuts as being a perk for the rich. The real problem with the tax cuts was that the Republican led Congress didn't curb their spending.

It's whiner, not whinner... try fire fox. It will simply amaze you the number of spelling errors you make in your posts.

And actually, the independent party is growing people people are sick and tired of BOTH sides. And you are a prime grade A example of what they are sick of with the liberal party. You are a great ASSet to them. Please keep up the awesome work! It will greatly insure how many seats the republicans gain in November.

I think the reason for two parties is like in binary, you have a 1and0

May not be the best, but in congress the debate and votes would be done faster and the decisions more clear.
If you muddle up the playing field, then we might get the worst of 3 evils everytime when we vote.

2 party is the only best way.
