They voted against 90% of the American people. It's time to go after the NRA and its thugs, Obama made that clear in the press conference tonight. The gloves are coming off, the NRA is about to get its butt kicked. No more tip towing around these goons. Demonstrations at their rallies, holding lawmakers accountable for choosing the NRA over the people they're supposed to be serving, writing letters and keeping the NRA from holding rallies in towns that don't want them. The NRA has pushed too far and this vote will show the American people that its not The People the elected officials represent, it's special interest and those who are lining their pockets. Sickening! They went against 90% of the American people today and this will not be forgotten.

Really? 90% of the American people wanted gun control? Do you have a source to back it up? I found that 96% don't think it is a major issue or problem facing the nation at this time. Look, here is a source you can check out. Despite the Obama administrationís strong push for more gun control legislation, few Americans are concerned about the issue.

90% of Americans were for expanded background checks, which is what this bill was about. Look it up. As far as Americans not caring about this issue that affects your side just as much, if not more, than mine.

These Democrats should be applauded for their smart decision. At least they realize that none of these stupid ideas would have prevented the acts that are being used to pass this assault on the American citizens rights. Just as they are not stopping these poisons from being mailed out and the bombing in Boston. Let us have our weapons to protect ourselves. Thank you again all that turned this assault down.

Although the president chastised ‚Äú90 percent of Republicans in the Senate‚ÄĚ for the failure of his gun control vision, his own party showed lukewarm support for the Toomey/Manchin amendment. Democratic Sens. Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Max Baucus or Montana, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, Mark Begich of Alaska and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada all voted against the amendment.

yeah, the minority in the Senate caused the bill to fail. Apparently Obama doesn't understand what the word "minority" means.

The majority of Americans didn't want Obamacare but you weren't crying about them ignoring the will of the people then.

I'm just waiting for him to declare himself king of the world. BHO will not be happy until he gets his way. I love the way is puffing his lips making faces like he does. If you read behind and between his lines you see if it was up to him he would ban all weapons he calls it our second amendment wow you know he does not believe that. What can government do to you that is his mantra... Wait for health care to kick in that is when everything changes and the secretary will just declare things unhealthy its coming folks hang on to your butts. Its all about health care.

As I posted on another thread a a Gallop poll also found only 4% of America considered gun control important. So, 90% of 4% of America gives a crap about Obama's latest big "focus like a laser" effort.
