More than two months after Obamacare's ugly debut, the number of Americans using the system is starting to grow: Nearly 1.2 million people are on track to have health coverage in place next year from the law's health insurance exchanges, the Department of Health and Human Services announced Wednesday.

From Oct. 1 through Nov. 30, almost 365,000 people enrolled into private health insurance via the federal and state marketplaces and more than 803,000 were deemed eligible for Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program, according to the department.

Too bad lots of those people who signed up and think they have insurance are going to find out in January that the 834 file sent to the insurer they chose was a pile of crap and they were never enrolled.
Next trainwreck in 3 weeks and counting....

lol too bad the train wreck you were involved in awhile ago didn't take you out. Just in case you didn't realize it, your diapers need changing again, if anyone cares.

Only 7 million to go before March 31...impossible but necessary. It will never happen.

Far, far short of where they need to be if they hope to keep those exchanges afloat financially. Oh...and those that are signing up are still the older, sicker population which draw more in benefits than they pay in premiums.
Call the fire department because this is going down in flames.

How many have logged on and how many have actually paid up?

Like unemployment numbers, like Obama's "if you like your current health care..." lie, it's all in the details and spin. Of that 1 million figure (and who knows if that's even accurate with these transparent-as-lead administration) how many have completed the process and made a payment? Insurance companies are reporting that they have no info on many of these so-called "enrollments" because they haven't properly or completely gone through the entire sign up process.

Even with fluffed up numbers of people who have not yet paid a dime for ACA, participation is comically low. Not only is this million figure so far below predicted estimates of what is needed for Humpty to not fall off his wall, you can take a portion of that dismal participation and chalk it up to mere log ons and incomplete enrollments.

And just wait until millions actually do sign up and get the bill!

I recently heard Ed Rendell former governor of Pennsylvania talking about driving people to the website, I cant remember his exact quote, to me though just the mention of a government driving its people to do something is the most despicable act ant government could do. So I for one of the millions who refuse to be driven will not be signing up for anything. Resist fear people resist being driven out of fear that has been promoted by this fear based administration.

It's set to fail but it won't be allowed to fail. We, the taxpayers, even the pipester, will be paying via taxes to cover this horrible financial failure.
So far, the only reason this thing is still going is obama abusing his executive powers by making changes on the fly.

You brought up a question I've had also...just because someone signed up, did they pay up also? Will they continue to pay??
Let's not also forget to mention that after the deadline passes and not nearly enough people have signed on, how much are the payments for policies going to go up?? Don't forget that the ones that actually pay taxes are also going to have to pay more to cover (like the rest of us) the losses of obamacare in general.

“signing up” for insurance isn’t the same thing as enrolling in, and being covered by, a health plan. And the administration isn’t releasing true enrollment numbers because their back-end infrastructure is still messed up.

Just more of that transparency the American people were promised!

Yep...and even if they did "enroll" if they quit making payments guess who's on the hook to pay the insurance company??

And none of the dbags sees any problem with the fact that more than twice as many people that can't pay for their insurance are signing up for Medicaid as there are people signing up for health insurance that can pay anything at all into the pot.
Somebody's got to pay idiots...and when the 'goverment' pays, guess whose pocket that really comes out of?
Bend over and get ready for a really unique method of hemorrhoid removal, dbags...no anesthesia will be provided.
