A christian woman hung and burned a dog because it chewed her bible. She then hid the corpse under lawn clippings.

When confronted by police the woman said god told her to kill the animal because it was a "devil dog" and chewed her bible.

Neighbors describe the woman as a "religious fanatic."

Nice jump there Arctic. Your hatred for religion has become all consuming. Get some help before your hatred totally destroys you!

If she had worshiped Satan would you have linked this article Arctic?

I doubt it.

This woman is c.r.a.z.y. with a capital K.

Unfortunately it's not too likely she'll receive the help she needs.

Yes, out of 2 billion Christians in the world do you think maybe there'd be a nutjob out there?

When I was a kid our neighbors' son beat his dog with a 2x4 until my older brothers broke said 2x4 over his back. That dog-abuser was a self-proclaimed Atheist.

Considering there are far fewer atheists in America than Christians does that mean the propensity of violence is greater in Atheists than Christians? Considering Atheists consider their beliefs are the answer to organized religion's violence, does this make Atheism hypocritical. Because one Atheist was guilty of animal abuse does this mean that Atheism promotes animal abuse, anger and mental disorders?

Of course these questions are ridiculous - as is this thread's author's ongoing attempts to demonize Christianity.

Grow up, Arctic.

Heaven forbid that anyone would ever start a thread, or more, simply to demonize beliefs that didn't mirror their own.

I would hope you'd have a better reason to start a thread than to simply demonize, let alone defend someone who does.

I would hope that everyone would, but won't hold my breath.

Arctic started a thread regarding a news story. Funny, but the basis for Topix is to allow users to post their views on of all things...... The News! We even got a link to a source that wasn't a blog but a real live news station, which in itself is quite unusual for many here to grasp.

The story dealt with a woman who killed a devil-dog because it chewed on her holy book, which would lead the reader to believe that the story did have something to do with religion. You would think most people could understand that.

Well, in a couple of hours the President will be giving his state of the union speech. This will allow some folks to start countless threads and perhaps a poll that only gives options slanted to the right. Then you'll feel more at home.

Do you think Obama's speech will include any of that "sit down and be quiet" and "sippin' Slurpee" bi-partisan pep he's used in the past, Bob? LOL

The last speech he made - the campaign party disguised as a memorial - was awesome. Truly a speech we could all get behind, calling for decency and respect. Strong words, especially after we found out it proceeded the White House plotting to pin the shooting on the Tea Party!
http://gatewaypundit.rightnetwork.com/2011/01...

I suggest you listen to this speech and ask yourself how someone who a few short weeks ago was calling republicans "the enemy" and telling them to "get outta the way", and threatening to "bring a gun" has the right to call for unity and bipartisanship now that his election weighs in the balance.

As for Arctic and his "news reporting", I think he's big enough to speak for himself without your fat Cheeto fingers helping him out.

Are you telling us that Atheists have no materials about Atheism? Now that would be news!

You see, Bob -poor, innocent Arctic's thread really has about as much to do with reporting news as Obama's true concern for bi-partisanship and improving America's economy.

Atheists have no doctrine.

Rejecting bullsh*t requires none.

Actually, they do. Their doctrine is that MAN is the ultimate in their lives. Only MAN is the "higher power" and is the be-all end-all in their existence. Rather like what you pontificate.

Using the same logic, it would mean that all gay people are child molesters

Maybe by the logic of someone with a single digit IQ.

Child Molesters = Pedophiles

Same Sex Attraction = Gay/Lesbian

Dense as a Stump = Sandy
