and i'm sure you have no idea what my family is feeling right now.
you know; his THREE daughters.
My dad is NOT a bad person.

Sorry, but you should feel humiliated.....Criminals go around and reek havoc on others lives with out any guilt. Now your father imposes himself on the rest of society by disrupting others and you want the community to mind their own business. There use to be Stock in the village square to display criminals so the whole community can see the perp. It the the humiliation that keeps people from the temptation of committing crimes. Your father should have thought of what would happen to your feelings when he went to steal. Tough to be your family. You are going to have to deal with your dad now and hopefully you all will move though life with humility and straighten this guy out.

Yes, it needs to be known to the community. The fact remains that he was caught thieving. It is not "THEIR BUSINESS" it is ours because it is our community. You and that family should feel shame because of his actions. Otherwise he will never change his behavior. Yes, you all should feel humiliated for your attitude toward accepting his behavior as proper. You are wrong and I can sleep at night knowing I can make that judgment because the rest of the community knows the difference between RIGHT and WRONG. So do not lecture to the community about incidents that affect us. You need serious help with figuring out what to fight for.

You actually took the time to argue with a child; what is wrong with you? Children love their parents. Children know good and bad of course; however she views a human being; her father; the man who has shared a love with her that cannot compare to the things that he has done. Should she abandon all of that now? Should she see him as a horrible person? Give up on him because he isn't "nice?" THIS IS A CHILD!!! You want her to explain why she thinks the man who is her father; she believes to not be bad?????? What is it that we want our children to take out of this life? Do we want them to forgive; to love? Do we not want them to believe in the greater good of people on this earth? Do we not want them to see past actions and try to reach the human being in all of us?

Maybe you should be focusing on parenting and keeping your "child" off of the computer and teaching her right from wrong instead.

Oh I'm sure you believed that the "tool fairy" brought $20,000 worth of stuff to your home.

You should be just as ashamed as he is. What a fine example of parenting by both parents!

It is too bad that your children have to suffer because of their fathers poor judgement though.

Still, I'm glad they put his photo up, now businesses in the area know who to look out for.

I can imagine your home filled with photos of all the thieves in this world; and every day you wake up knowing that your "things" are protected. Oh I commend you. You sound like a kind soul and hard worker at that. I would sell and or give away everything I have ever worked for; and every belonging I have ever had, so that my children who I share with this man; who's photo now hangs in your home; would not have to read the things you adults have put on this web page. I have spent my life trying to protect my children; and they have been hurt by the man who is their father; and to add salt to that wound, now everyone knows. The hurt and humiliation you wish upon this child? If you had done your research; you would understand that he will be "put away" for quite a long time. I am sure your "things" will be protected. My children will grow up as another statistic in a single parent home. As far as being low as "whale poo"..... She is young and still has a free, open, loving; and forgiving heart. If she is anything like me when she grows up; she will still carry that with her. But perhaps after being drownded in negativity; she could turn out like your bitter self. I wouldn't hope this on anyone; and my heart aches for anyone he hurt; people who trusted him. When it comes to material things (and I do believe the MAJORITY have been recovered and returned to the owners) and the well being of children and or people in general; I would have to sway toward the latter. I can't BELIEVE AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE that anyone who had dealt with mental illness can only look at actions. I also REFUSE TO BELIEVE that the majority of people do not think this way and would have some type of sympathy and understanding toward a child who adores her father; regardless of his actions. He hurt alot of people that trusted in him; he is a very sick man. You also ASSUME he had nothing. That is also not the case. Some people need help; beyond that of harsh words and hate. I hope some day you can take those photos off the wall and replace them with the people; who like my daughters; add love; faith and forgiveness to this life.

That last part really gets me. "See past actions..." What? We should be teaching our children about "CONSEQUENCES" for our actions. Granted she loves her father, but that doesn't erase the fact that he did wrong and he has to face the consequences. Apparently, he didn't think about the consequences not only he, but the rest of his family, would have to face.

He did steal alot of things. This was a child making a post and declaring her love for her father. And wondering why it was necessary for his photo to be posted, so she could possibly avoid some humiliation. She will love her father no matter what he did; is that odd?

SHE SHOULD FEEL HUMILIATED????????? She is a 14 year old child!!! Do you on a daily basis write down all the wrongs that PEOPLE YOU LOVE have done and post them for the world to see????? Where is your town square; because I would like to know what you are being "humiliated" for; through the actions that you have NO CONTROL over!! He was doing this on his own; his children; his famil(ies) are the most hurt. I don't know how you could possibly have told a child that she should be humiliated. Do you WANT her to feel more discraced? You wish that on a child? Would you rather her what? Not love her father? She simply stated that she didn't know why his photo had to be shown; and also that she loved her father and, in her mind, he is a good man. You should feel discusted that you tried to lay any type of responsibility on her.

You assume way too much. Perhaps you could take some of that anger and focus it on something positive instead of negative.

Actually the news didn't ruin their lives. They didn't make him steal, they just reported on the fact that some unsolved thefts had been solved. He's a grown man who stole them all by himself. If ruining lives were not what he was intending he should have thought about his family before doing something so stupid.
