Not enough snow here.
I put the sled away for the summer.

Windchill 18 degrees, temp 29 and flurries in the air. Spring fever? Maybe we should get out of winter first.

Yep, how about that global warming!!

Toward the end of the week it'll be warm enough for a ride I'm hoping. Potholes will be murder this year for sure!

I'd put money on the fact that you have a Harley.

He is a dog lover, so I got to give him that. Somewhere deep in his troubled sole might be a good person trying to get out. LOL!

No, don't hate them I just think Harleys are a rough, harsh riding bike plagued with problems. Most buy Harleys because of the name and the 'cool guy' status they believe comes with it. Since you come across as a guy always trying to 'man up' it would make sense that you would choose the 'cool guy' bike instead of one that rides much better and has rock solid reliability.

I do love dogs and used to ride but sold my last bike about 5 years ago because my wife doesn't like them. On a side note, I just checked and the soles on my shoes are getting pretty wore down, thanks for bringing that to my attention. Time for some new ones.

I just talked to some family up in T.C.
They said that not only is the snow gone,....but so is the water.
They said not to bother bringing the boat up, because the water is so low, it's about 100 yards out from the house to where the water is now!
I remember back in the mid 1980's they had to put a seawall in,..and now it's nothing but sand out there!
Where in the heck did all of that water go?

If I was looking at bikes. I think a Gold Wing would be my choice. But, there are a lot of nice Bikes, other than "Harley's" out there.....
A Harley, would not be my first choice.
Even though the Harley is the bike of choice, because that is the "cool" one to purchase.

Harleys have changed a lot since I bought my first one new in 1978. Maybe your "souls" ;-) are wore out from pushing jap bikes.

I had a 2003 Honda ST1300, not a Goldwing but a very nice, comfortable cruising bike.

Six years ago this summer some friends and I made a trip out to Wyoming and Montana. One had a Goldwing and two had Harleys to go along with my ST. Somewhere in South Dakota I switched bikes with a friend who had an early 2000's/late 90's FLH Harley. After about 150 miles I needed to get off that thing and get back on my Honda, too much vibration and the ride sucked. The other Harley was an older Wide Glide and quite frankly I have no idea how he rode 10-12 hours a day on that thing, it hurt just looking at him.

My friends with Harley are always working on them or have them in the shop. They just seem like such a headache. Maybe they're not so bad if you plan on going down to Blues on the Mall and hanging with the cool guys or taking a trip to the beach but I bought a bike for long distance and extended cruising. There would be summers that I would put on 5,000 miles or more on that bike and never, repeat, never had a problem except losing a back tire in the mountains of Colorado in the middle of nowhere that turned out to be a huge pain in the azz (flatbed fees, price gouging, wrong tire ordered, two days in a hotel with no transportation, ect...).
