And you madam goofball are comic relief. If your off-spring are anything like you, too bad for them, but more importantly God help us .... sanctions,, have the military enforce them, & arm & support the rebels even if they are as bad or worse than the regime. God help us ...

You are amusing..calling on a being you don't believe in and mock regularly because you think He will help you now? Actually, my offspring are like me and unlike you, they respect me. You, on the other hand, obviously can't even spell the word let alone know what it means. Go back to mommy's basement and play pretend because that is obviously all you know how to do.

That is not a pain killer and if you consider it one you are a fool because it sucks at being one. You choose something that is not watched over, controlled, and regulated over something that is. It does not scare you that anyone could lace it with anything and you would not know it until it was to late. Why try to explain anything to you? You have demonstrated that you are total fool with no common sense at all. You have been told repeatedly over and over by different posters that Obama is the one that but the red line there. He is the one that should have had a plan to back up his words. You got your answer several times and you keep asking over and over. Wow are you ever dumb!
So somehow you are going to tell be I did not experience pain relief from using cannibus??
Ok...just how do you plan to prove this??
I'll wait...forever I suppose...

As far as Obama and the "line"...what do you propose he should do genius??

<quoted text>He should propose tough sanctions and let our military enforce them. We should arm the rebels and let them take the corrupt leadership out.(Not that the rebels aren't probably corrupt themselves since that is prevalent in that part of the world). But to not do anything or take any action is like threatening a child and not following through, and we both have seen the results of that in the children of today.
OK...I have some questions...not objections so try to be objective in your answers.
1. Sanctions...will they really work? Can we get other nations to fall in line so as to make the sanctions effective?
2. Arming the rebels has been a many times repeated mistake we as a nation have made in the past...Obama doing it again would only feed the negative fodder from the opposition.
3. Historically, it would seem, arming anyone in that type of situation only seems to get the U.S. nowhere. We've just armed a different group that will eventually end up hating us. Afganistan comes to mind...
4. Just how should our Military be involved? Sending our Military into a situation where shooting and killing are involved is certianly going to require them shooting back...and now we are at war with yet another Middle Eastern country.

1. I don't know if sanctions will really work. Watching how they didn't work with Iraq comes to mind. But to stand by and do nothing but huff and puff is useless. 2. I agree with arming the rebels, but again, Obama is the one who made the threat. Time to follow through. 3. I don't think getting the "boots on the ground" is a good idea. However, if we can use drones to kill U.S. citizens on foreign soil?
What are your suggestions? Do you think issuing that threat, warning, or whatever you want to call it and then not following through accomplishes anything? I recall when Qaddafi was a threat and one bomb was dropped on his home and he went totally quiet for 20 years. There are some people, much as I hate to say this, that just don't understand anything but violence.

Unfortunately, historically, the follow-ups we have engaged in never seem to have positive results. A lot of good people get killed and injured for what seems to be a negative outcome.
We gain no alliances and no apparent respect for what we've tried to do.
It seems to be a Catch 22 and I really wish our Government would stop trying to be the Police force for the entire planet.
I don't know what the answer is but it's pretty obvious that what we've done in the past is not working...
Your additional thoughts??

It is a Catch 22 and I said back in the 60's it was time to stop being the world's policeman. That being said, when the perception is that we won't respond in any fashion, the attacks get worse. There was a theory out there for several years that Saddam sent his WMD to Syria. Perhaps we are seeing that now?? All I know is this: The U.N. is nothing but a corrupt, panty waist, hand wringing bunch of hooligans and we should NOT rely on them for anything, let alone trying to maintain "peace" in the middle east. I still think the drones are the best answer.

It would ease the pain and make them happy. Isn't that your miracle drug. It makes everything better.
