What's fascinating is how you idiots continue to deny truth despite reality in favor of some increasingly hole-riddled narrative. This "blame republicans for Sandy relief" fantasy was laid to waste months ago.

Even Mayor Bloomberg, clearly no republican, couldn't deny the real reason republicans RIGHTLY voted down the pork-laden funding plan your spend-happy elected officials passed with glee, and offered a second, more fiscally-responsible version minus the pork.

[Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who previously declined to slam House Speaker John Boehner over Congress’ stalled Hurricane Sandy aid, took his argument to the next level this morning and suggested federal lawmakers are partially to blame for the delay in the vote on the package because they insert “things that are totally extraneous” into bills such as this. Although Mr. Bloomberg didn’t specify the extraneous problem items, the legislation has been criticized by Republicans like Rep. Paul Ryan for being “packed with funding for unrelated items, such as commercial fisheries in American Samoa and roof repair of museums in Washington, D.C.”]

The problem with these relief bills is there is no limit to the amount of extraneous pork unscrupulous politicians can tack on. Let's hope the relief bill offered for OK is pointed specifically at helping those in OK, and not filtering taxpayer money to American Samoa commercial fisheries like the democrats voted for - and all of the usual radical liberal suspects irresponsibly support in yet another attempt to demean "the enemy" republicans, who were the only elected officials acting responsibly by voting no on pork and offering a cleaned-up alternative.

I don't care what party drafts a relief bill, if it contains pork it needs to be rejected in favor of a clean bill. Anyone that would support politicians creating a relief bill for Sandy that contains roof repair of museums in DC needs to have their voter registration card revoked.

I live in S.Florida and pay high home insurance premiums, due to our hurricane history......i have alway's understood, that upon total destruction, we would recieve, only the agreed amount, per insurance policy......Sandy has brought up this theory, that as Americans...we are due compensation from our government? Isn't that double-dipping?

Or he might be drunk on some home brew. He says he quit the pot. But then again he says he quit the cocaine too. Cocaine addicts have a habit of wiping their nose. Check out YouTube to find some great video on that.

And the people affected by Sandy just stood around, did nothing, waiting for federal relief like they expected a handout?
Yup...that about sums it up.
