What's wrong with looking at cuts in the military. We have over 600 bases over-seas? That's insane. American has to learn that we aren't the world's policeman. We can't afford it. We can start by bringing home our boys from Afghanistan and stop sending Pakistan billion of dollars ever year. Kharzi is no friend of the US and his so called government is totally corrupt so let's get wise and stop throwing money and American lives at that godforsaken hole in the earth called Afghanistan. Military spending, Social Security and Medicare make up about 80% of the federal budget. There is no way we get back into black ink without cutting those three items.

Cutting the military budget does not necessarily mean they want to weaken the military.

One thing that comes to mind is the fact that the military spends millions of taxpayer money every year sponsering NASCAR teams.
Couldn't that money be cut, or be put to better use?
The $700 Billion dollar military budget, can be cut, without weakening the military.

What about the Taliaban and El ki ada? How are we going to defend ourselves against them?

Are you saying there aren't expenditures in the military that could be cut, liberals?

http://www.businessinsider.com/obamas-deficit...

etc. etc. etc.

Have liberals who've asked for potential cuts to the military for years now changed their philosophy on defense spending, or is it just that they refuse to agree with anything the Tea Party folks say?

conservatives have been saying that for years, and that we need 2 elect people into office who r going 2 put a stop 2 it. and where did this get us?...

NOWHERE!!!
we STILL have bums on welfare getting paid 4 not working...at tax-payer expense

the conservative movement is such a failure.
they can't even reach their most common-sense goals

It's not that simple, the real question is,, why have our companies moved away, local jobs, and yet the savior "Obama" will fix the unfair trade.!

yes, it's very simple. jobs go to china, malaysia, vietnam, mexico, ad nauseum because americans refuse to work for ten cents an hour. would you work for ten cents an hour? i'll concede one part of your implicit argument: people willing to work for ten cents is definitely a union buster. hahaha.

btw, do you know what happens when a corporation can cut its labor expense by 90%, all the while not paying any taxes in america? it really improves net margin and ceo/coo/cfo bonuses;);)

forget the fox people, I'm waiting for a response from a liberal that screamed like a banshee for defense cuts while Bush was in office, but now can't seem to remember what they were screaming about now that a liberal is responsible for security.

The Tea Party folks and a great many conservatives continue to say there are areas of the military that can be looked into, such as the amount of soldiers currently deployed to Germany, or spending billions on more attack planes as an example. No one is suggesting we yank the flack jackets off our soldiers or stop feeding them. No one is suggesting we immediately pull the plug on the wars we are involved in like the anti-war leftists pitched a tantrum over while Bush was POTUS.

Seems a reasonable, less ridiculous, demand to look into over-the-top defense spending from the Tea Party people would bring about a favorable response from liberals. But no. Reason evidently doesn't penetrate the rigid mindset of the "TeaBagger"-hating, party-first left.
